#mysgmemories Can lah! Let’s go kaikai! A shopping mall which is a little further away from White Sands Shopping located at Pasir Ris MRT. There are free shuttle buses available if you can wait. The shuttle buses come in every 10 minutes interval and once you arrive at this huge outdoor carpark then you have arrived at Downtown East. This shopping mall is crowded as it serves the neighborhood. From time to time, there are exhibitions here too and large funfair setup too. There are also public buses coming to Downtown East too. The main attraction over here is their entertainment facilities, from water theme park, indoor rock climbing and even karaoke for the entire family.

Buey Tahan See-Food Restaurant serves affordable seafood, zhi char and all-day breakfast at Downtown East. Desserts like waffles and croissants with gelato are also available. The restaurant has a HDB void deck theme— bird cages that double up as lights, the retro-looking letterboxes, round tables and curved stools and the classic orange public phone of the past. You can now reminisce about these familiar sights here. The main highlight is the nostalgic 'mama shop' (convenience store), where you can browse through shelves lined with vintage snacks and toys. I enjoy dining outdoors but not in a sunny place and this Mcdonald's outlet at Downtown East located at 1 Pasir Ris Cl, #01-338, Singapore 519599 is awesome. It is near me and I can always pop by to have a quick meal. It also closes late on weekends at 2am. You also have a nice view of the area. I also heard that there is a garden theme Macdonald’s concept garden theme in the Commonwealth area, known as Ridout Tea Garden, Queensway and is open 24 hours. I hope I can try it out in this new year for a new experience. #newyearadventure

#resortstyle This is a resort gem in the East and I am telling you about their awesome addition which is Don Don Donki opened back in 2021. Now you can get Japanese food and drinks and even raw meat for your BBQ at D’Resort when you are having a staycation. When I was at D’Resort back in 2019 and this year, most of my friends will tell me they haven’t been here since their schooling days. So I will update them about the current situation and show them my vlog of D’Resort. Then they were also excited to come to D’Resort and wanted to visit me when I was there for 3 nights.

#resortstyle This is a resort gem in the East and I am telling you about their free shuttle buses. You still have to take the MRT to Pasir Ris which is the last MRT on the East West Line. Then use Exit A to go out to the shuttle bus meeting point. This bus will bring you directly to Downtown East Begonia Pick up and Drop off point, which is outside the entrance of Downtown East Shopping Mall. The bus is ongoing everyday from 11am to 10pm and about every 15 minutes. It is a mini bus so seats are limited. I am excited to revisit D’Resort.

Downtown East is popular especially among schools children, teenagers and families because this is a family friendly mall. Reason being, there are many fast food options, affordable restaurants and cafes, tuition classes and activities like rock climbing wall, arcades for kids. Downtown east has 5 stories in total where the last and 4th floor floor is solely for entertainment purposes like cinema, arcade and even a roller blading ring. Downtown East located all the way in the east in the town of pasir ris singapore is a mall where there are loads of very affordable food options and manily targeted at school children and teenage kids friendly prices. There is a little restaurant called basil Thai, which has been around for ages, and when i say ages means even before the renovation of downtown east this basil Inn has already been around and started off with only 4/5 tables on a side stall. Now it has been upgrade to a restaurant being able to fit more than 50 over customers, with outside seating as well. It's a Thai food restaurant that serves your local Thai delicacies, for meat dishes which only costs about $8 - $10 and vegetable for $7 - $8 dollars and mains from $6.50 - $8. And plus, this restaurant also doesn't include service charges and GST, making this very wallet friendly. Our total meal only cost us less than $40 which also include a drink! Few times here so far, and food standard was consistency, staff were helpful and attentive. the soup is rich and nice but it’s a little bit salty. The ramen was a big portion which was the highlight of the meal and great for big eater. Environment was cozy and spacious. a great place to enjoy Japanese food. currently they also have a 1 for 1 ramen on weekday promotion which is extremely wallets friendly.

I had a comfortable rest. It was close to the airport and a shopping center, so it was convenient^^

In a recent visit with friends to downtown east, we passed by this popup which has decorations reminding me of sights in sg like dragon playground and ang ku kueh. Found these popup standee which we enjoyed taking photos with, also, reminded us of our childhood of playing hopscotch, playing the dragon playground located at Ang Mo Kio. Should you happen to be nearby, can consider coming here.

This year, the Singapore Cosplay Club's Cosfest Classic will be showcasing iconic anime, cosplay, comics, games and music genres. Price per Person - $25 to $28 Rating - 4/5 Exclusively on Trip.com is this event that is happening now to 9 Aug 2022 which is call Let's Play @ D'Marquee and it is located at Downtown East! I booked the day before the Play and choosed a time slot of 150 minutes. The outdoor area consists of 1 time Play only which is the choo choo train, king Kong robot and VR 6 seater machine! It was so fun even for adult. All ages needed ticket to go in and scanning of QR code from the Trip App was a breeze! Inside was so huge but cold as well so do bring a jacket for the kids just in case. Do bring socks along as well if not socks is available for purchase as well. It was a weekday afternoon thus we got the Play almost to ourselves. only less than 5 families were around that time.
