DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle: The best accommodation experience for your trip
DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle, the last stop of this trip to Japan, left a deep impression. As a Diamond member, I had a pleasant journey.
Convenient arrival and attentive service
I returned from Nara, transferred once, and got off at Temmabashi Station. It was an 8-minute walk to the hotel. I arrived at 11 am and checked in at the lounge. I had a few drinks and took a break, stored my luggage, and went straight to Shinsaibashi. When I came back, my luggage had been delivered to my room. This service was not available at the two hotels in Kyoto. The hotel lobby is on the 6th floor, which is convenient for accessing all areas of the hotel.
Perfect room experience
The hotel room is about 25 square meters, which is enough for a 28-inch suitcase. The bed is a 2-meter-wide king bed. The mattress and pillows are soft and comfortable, which can help you relax quickly. The room is clearly divided into functional areas, with a separate toilet, bathroom, bathtub, and sink. I originally booked a river view room, but when I checked in at the lounge, the staff kindly reminded me that the river view is more beautiful in spring when the trees are lush, and the city view is more recommended in this season. So I changed to a castle view room. Please note that not all rooms have bathtubs. After shopping in Japan, a hot bath can effectively relieve fatigue, so I chose a room with a bathtub. In addition, the even-numbered rooms I stayed in did not have a castle view from the bed. I wonder if any experienced friends can share whether the odd-numbered rooms have such a beautiful view from the bed.
Rich leisure and dining experience
The lounge has a happy hour from 17:00 to 19:00, offering a variety of cold food, hot food, and cakes. Near Christmas, the enthusiastic waiter also helped to make two special cocktails. The biggest charm of the lounge is the unobstructed view of Osaka Castle. You can easily take beautiful photos from any location. The SEN restaurant on the 6th floor has a relatively low floor, so the view is relatively limited and the scenery is slightly monotonous. The hotel also has a swimming pool. Although I don't swim, I can feel its unique atmosphere by taking simple photos outside.
There are many kinds of breakfast. Although there are many people dining at 8 am, it is a bit crowded, but the restaurant is large. Breakfast includes noodles, eggs, freshly made rice balls, baked goods, and various fruits. Considering that there are few restaurants around the hotel, having breakfast here is a wise choice.
Overall evaluation
Although DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle is expensive and far from shopping places, it ranks first in this travel accommodation experience with its excellent view of Osaka Castle, thoughtful and enthusiastic service, relatively few tourists, and complete facilities.
