Hong Kong | High-speed train customs clearance strategy is here~
| High-speed train customs clearance strategy is here~. Hello hello, sesame sauce I'm here again, took a trip to Hong Kong over the weekend, and wrote some tips on the fly!
🚆High-speed train tips
A, Shenzhen North = West Kowloon, there are quite a few round trips, and you should be able to buy tickets anytime if it's not the peak season, just use your ID card for round-trip ticket purchases, the boarding process at Shenzhen North is the same as the normal high-speed train process in the mainland, so it depends on your luggage situation to reserve time for entry, for the West Kowloon side in Hong Kong, since it involves immigration, it's recommended to reserve more than 40 minutes to be on the safe side;
B, The ticket change policy for this section is different from the ordinary high-speed trains in the mainland, so if it's for the return trip and there are still plenty of tickets available, it's recommended to buy the tickets on the day of return according to the time you spend playing;
Customs clearance tips
The high-speed train does immigration at West Kowloon in Hong Kong, not many people, feels much more convenient than other ports, especially if you're traveling with family, it seems to save more energy;
Travel tips
A, For data, you can buy a data card on Taobao, which is much cheaper than direct mobile data charges, I'm with China Mobile, 16 yuan for 2 days, still OK~
B, For Hong Kong dollars, you can bring some change, most places for eating and shopping accept Alipay and WeChat, but some small shops still require cash in Hong Kong dollars, for the MTR, Alipay's ride code is enough, very convenient, I brought an Octopus card but didn't use it later, just used Alipay directly;
C, After getting off the high-speed train, you can walk to Austin or Kowloon metro stations, take one stop from Austin to Tsim Sha Tsui, Avenue of Stars, Star Ferry are all there; then you can also go to Kowloon and take one stop to Hong Kong, then walk to Central station to go to Causeway Bay;
D, Sun protection is a must, bring a parasol, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc., it's really hot outside, but the air conditioning indoors is still very cold;
E, Kennedy Town photo-taking strategy: This time I just wanted to go to Kennedy Town to take photos and check in the sunset, so I went straight to Kennedy Town after leaving the luggage at the hotel in Causeway Bay, took the metro directly to Kennedy Town exit C, and then slowly walked around, sat down at % Coffee to rest and wait for the sunset;
I can only say that besides the heat, there was nothing wrong with this trip, so ladies, be sure to wear comfortable shoes!!!
