|See precious cultural heritage. This is the first well-preserved cemetery of Rui State nobles from the Zhou Dynasty discovered in Shaanxi Province. The seven dings and six guis have the same shape and pattern, and are arranged in order of size. The inscriptions on the lid and the bottom of the vessel record the history of "Nei (Rui) Gong making the travel gui". The jade sword with a gold scabbard has a ridge, a willow leaf-shaped blade, and a handle with a beast face pattern at the front end. The ears of the beast have holes. The existing buildings of Beiying Temple include the passing hall, offering hall, sleeping hall and theater. These main buildings are well preserved. |The Guandi Temple of the Ming Dynasty. It was first built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt during the reigns of Kangxi and Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the four major temples in the ancient city of Hancheng. The temple faces east and west, and is mainly composed of the mountain gate, the passing hall, the hall for offering sacrifices and the sleeping hall. As you enter the mountain gate, what comes into view is the three-dragon glazed screen wall with exquisite carvings that will take your breath away. On the screen wall on the right side of the mountain gate, the pattern of a dancing dragon symbolizes the long history and culture of Hancheng. |Explore ancient architecture and history. Hancheng City God Temple (also known as Huang Temple) is located in the northeast corner of Jincheng. The temple is named after the east-west alley in front of it. The temple is located at the north side of the east end of the alley, originally next to the ancient city wall, and now next to Donghuan Road. According to the elders of Hancheng, the City God Temple in Hancheng is divided into two parts, north and south. The two City Gods are Zhang Shipei and Zhang Tingshu, who were both ministers of the north and south. Zhang Shipei was the Minister of the Ministry of Revenue in Nanjing during the Ming Dynasty, and Zhang Tingshu was the Minister of Justice during the Qing Dynasty. They were loyal to the emperor and loved the people, and they were honored as City Gods after their death, reflecting the respect of the people of Hancheng for their local sages. |Records the story of "The Orphan of Zhao." Jiulang Temple was first built in the first year of the Zhida era of the Yuan dynasty (1308) to commemorate Zhao Shi, Gongsun Ri, and Cheng Ying of the Spring and Autumn period. The temple enshrines Zhao Wu (Zhao Wenzi), Cheng Ying, and Gongsun Chujiu, symbolizing the story of the Orphan of Zhao. Hancheng is the setting of the story of the Orphan of Zhao, so Jiulang Temple is not only a witness to history but also a place where this legendary story is passed down. Jiulang Temple has a unique architectural style, with five rooms, a total length of 16 meters, and a depth of 9 meters, using a single-eave hip roof and glass tiles. Although the decoration on the roof ridge (chiwen) has been reduced, this does not affect its value as a historical site. |Provincial-level Protected "Golden Pagoda". Jiujiu Zhai Pagoda, an ancient building located in the Martyrs' Cemetery outside the north gate of Hancheng Ancient City, is the only provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in Hancheng. Its history can be traced back to the Jin Dynasty, when it was originally named Tanfa Pagoda, but was later destroyed in an earthquake. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, the pagoda was rebuilt on its original site and named after the nearby Jiujiu Zhai Village. However, the people of Hancheng are more accustomed to calling it the "Golden Pagoda". |A century-old stone arch bridge over the Jushui River. Yuxiu Bridge in Hancheng was first built in the 41st year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1702) and took 5 years to complete. It was the only bridge on the road from Hancheng to the ancient capital of Chang'an at the time, and has been repaired many times since. Yuxiu Bridge is a 10-hole stone arch bridge, 180 meters long and 4.5 meters wide. The piers are spindle-shaped to divert the river water, and each arch has a stone-carved dragon head in the middle of the dome, welcoming the Jushui River from the west to the east. The bridge deck is arched, with iron ingots made of molten iron poured into the stone seams for reinforcement. There are stone railings on both sides of the bridge, with a lookout post every two meters. There are 101 on the east side and 99 on the west side. The post heads are carved with fruits such as melons, peaches, watermelons, and gourds. At both ends of the stone railings, there are four stone statues of people wearing snow hats, symbolizing the protection of the bridge. The "Wanghe Tower" with three layers of flying eaves and corners on the northwest embankment of the bridge shows the ingenuity of the craftsmen. To the south of Yuxiu Bridge is a wooden archway with three connected eaves and a hip-and-gable roof. The plaque above the lintel in the middle is inscribed with the four golden characters "示我周行" (show me the way), which means "people who like me, show me the way."
