After the rain, the sunset and maple trees on Dongjiaomin Lane are stunning!
Beijing's Dongjiaomin Lane is breathtakingly beautiful after the rain and sunset!
Recently, Beijing's autumn has quietly entered its late stage. The ginkgo leaves have fallen, and the maple leaves are following suit, showing their final splendor. After several rounds of wind and rain, the ginkgo leaves in many places have fallen, and even the maple leaves have begun to wither.
However, on the way to the Capital Hotel, I accidentally discovered a stunning view - the rows of maple trees on Zhengyi Road at the intersection of Dongjiaomin Lane form a beautiful picture.
After a night of wind and rain, the fallen leaves and moist air, combined with the warm afternoon sun, create a breathtaking picture!
At this moment, I can't help but be intoxicated by the beauty in front of me. But I can't help but worry about what the scenery of this maple forest will look like in the next two days. Perhaps the red leaves will gradually fall, but I also look forward to seeing a spectacular scene of falling leaves like rain when the sun comes out on Sunday!
📍Location: Zhengyi Road (Dongjiaomin Lane Intersection)

Dongjiaominxiang is probably the most romantic hutong in Beijing.
Located near Chongwenmen, it is the longest hutong in Beijing.
It was once an embassy district a hundred years ago.
Many European-style buildings are still preserved.
Stroll through the hutong under the shade of the pagoda trees.
Watch the sunlight shine through the leaves and cast spots on the buildings.
Unlock the joy of Beijing's summer with your footsteps.
Feel the cool breeze in the tree-lined avenue.
Newlyweds taking wedding photos outside the Catholic Church.
Couples strolling hand in hand in front of the Court Museum.
Fashionable young people taking photos in front of the old post office.
These are all part of the romance of Dongjiaominxiang.
Unlike the romance of winter,
the summer in Dongjiaominxiang has a touch of romance in the marketplace.

Beijing, east of Tiananmen Square, Dongjiaomin Lane, the longest hutong with a variety of architectural styles and a century-old embassy.
Beijing, east of Tiananmen Square, Dongjiaomin Lane, nearly 2 km long, was occupied by the powers after the Boxer Protocol and served as an embassy area. After more than a hundred years of changes, many buildings have been used for other purposes. You can only look at the exterior to get a glimpse of the past. Always remind yourself that only when the country is strong can the people be safe. During the National Day, I took a look and wished the motherland prosperity and the people happiness and health.

🌿 "Where can I find a story that has been sealed by time?"
"Beijing Dongjiaomin Lane, with a long-lasting charm." It's fascinating here.

🌈 The strongest guide to Beijing Dongjiaomin Lane‼️‼️!
Use the pit I personally picked to help you avoid thunder \(`Δ')/
Dongjiaomin Lane is located in the embassy area, with a large number of concession buildings, where you can witness the vicissitudes of modern Chinese history.
Dongjiaomin Lane is also the longest hutong in Beijing, and the viewing spots are very dense, with a view at every step, which is very suitable for a short ride.
The route from east to west will pass through: Adong Photo Studio Site → St. Michael's Cathedral → Former Belgian Embassy → Former French Embassy → China Court Museum → Beijing Police Museum
📌 Adong Photo Studio Site: An inconspicuous gray building, German photographer Heda once worked here, and the appearance of Beijing at that time was recorded by her.
📌 St. Michael's Cathedral: A typical Gothic building, very small and exquisite, one of the four churches in Beijing.
📌 Former Belgian Embassy: It is opposite St. Michael's Church. It is a country villa-style building. It is now Zijin Hotel.
📌 Former French Embassy: The shape of the embassy gate is based on the Arc de Triomphe, and you can feel the strong momentum. Not far away is the former French post office, a Chinese-Western combined building with a strong sense of fusion.
📌 China Court Museum: The red and white castle-style building is the former site of the Jin Yin Bank. It is now open to the public for free. The check-in photos are very good.
📌 Beijing Police Museum: A very stylish gray building, the original site of Citibank, is now open for free, with four floors of exhibitions.
There are many stories hidden in the beautiful scenery of Dongjiaomin Lane. While we are watching, we should not forget that period of history~

Beloved Church in the Capital | The Eternal Landmark of Dongjiaominxiang ⛪
The St. Michael's Church (Dongjiaominxiang Catholic Church) is situated at No. 13, Dongjiaominxiang Street, a renowned location in the capital city. On holidays, this place is bustling with street photography, wedding photoshoots, and tourists.
The church was established in 1901 by a French missionary, Gao Sidu. The church faces south with its back to the north, designed in a pseudo-European Gothic style. It features a brick-wood structure with exposed brick walls. The facade is adorned with three pointed bell towers, pointed arches, wall columns, stained glass windows, and wall niches. Inside, thirty round columns provide support. In 1995, it was declared a "Beijing Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit".
The Dongjiaominxiang alley stretches approximately 1.6km. An hour is sufficient for a leisurely stroll, sightseeing, and photography. [ThumbsUp] Recommended route: Chongwenmen Subway Station Exit E -> Former Belgian Embassy -> St. Michael's Cathedral -> Former French Embassy -> Former French Post Office -> Court Museum.
⚠️ Lighting: There are residential buildings blocking the east side of the church, so it takes about 2 hours after sunrise for the light to gradually reach the church. The best, warmest, and softest light may be around six in the evening in summer, and possibly four in winter.

Beijing City Walk | Old Beijing Hutong

The grey walls and tiles of Beijing's hutongs are the product of a long history, reflecting the face of Beijing's history. It is not only the place where ordinary people in Beijing live, but also an important stage for the historical and cultural development of the capital. Each hutong has its own story and has had a legendary experience. Therefore, traveling to Beijing, strolling around the hutongs, and savoring them carefully is a very characteristic and interesting thing.

❶The whole route takes about 2 hours, and some sections can be cycled. Subway travel is recommended as parking is not very convenient nearby🅿️
❷ Dongjiaomin Lane and Yangmeizhu Xiejie are also good places for taking pictures. It is recommended to go after three in the afternoon, when the light is just right and the characters are very soft📷
❸ There are also many cafes in the hutongs around Qianmen and Yangmeizhu Xiejie. If you have plenty of time, you can experience the fireworks in the lanes☕️

This hutong has undergone centuries of historical changes, and it is also linked to the history of the humiliating old China. It carries too many memories of the Chinese people. Dongjiaominxiang has many embassies in the country. This is the longest hutong in Beijing. Many beautiful Xiaoyanglou
now Dongjiaomin Lane has not seen the traces of the war in the past after years of baptism. But the bricks and watts in the hutong still seem to have immortal memories.
