#eatlikealocal We have decided to drop by Ipoh en route to Cameron Highlands to have a breakfast, and we found this nice little kopitiam called Dong Tai Kopitiam serving authentic Coffee and traditional breakfasts. Serving customers for more than 60 uears this shop doea not gain its fame by conincidence. The coffee is really fragrant and smooth, so far so you did not need additional sugar or sweetener. We ordered the kaya toast and the pork lard Wanton noodle and they tasted heavenly. The fragrance of the lard adds more flavour on the springy noodles. The Kaya toast is also excellently made, and the kaya is full of coconut aroma. We will dedinitely stop by again if we past by Ipoh.

#ipohtrip Visited Dong Tai Kopitiam in the morning, and even at 11 AM, the place was bustling with a lively crowd—a testament to its popularity. Despite the crowd, the food quality truly stood out. Steamed Bread with Butter & Kaya: This was the star of the meal! The bread was soft, warm, and perfectly paired with rich butter and fragrant kaya. If enjoyed hot, it’s easily a 10/10. In fact, it was so good that I completely forgot to take a photo! The menu offers light yet satisfying options, perfect for those who want a comforting breakfast that isn’t too heavy.The atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, making it a great spot to start your day. #hiddengems A great spot for breakfast in Ipoh. The food was delicious, plentiful, and served up really fast despite the long queue. From the authenticity of food to the decor and value to staff attitude. Everything is perfection here. The place is well decorated. This is the kind of wantan mee that I love. The coffee was great! Love the aroma and kawness! Very Historical atmosphere kopitiam. Overall, it's a delightful spot where excellent service, flavorful dishes, and reasonable pricing come together seamlessly.
