Delicious Local Breakfast@Dongguan Kopitiam
Dongguan Kopitiam, a Malaysian-style coffee shop (kopitiam) located in Penang, Malaysia, rather than in Dongguan, China. The name "Dongguan" may reflect a connection to the Chinese heritage of the owners or its theme, but the establishment itself offers the traditional kopitiam experience, which includes local favorites like kaya toast, Hainanese coffee, nasi lemak, and more.
Penang is famous for its vibrant street food and traditional kopitiams, so if this is a particular café in Penang, it likely serves authentic dishes with a mix of Chinese and Malay influences.
📍Address: 16, Jalan Irrawaddy, Georgetown, Penang. P.C: 10050.

Dong Guan Kopitiam
If you're looking for a cool and comfortable place for breakfast or brunch away from the scorching weather if you're near George Town, Dong Guan Kopitiam, located at Irrawaddy Road, Penang is an ideal coffee shop.
Located within an Art Deco traditional shop house, this coffee shop is just 2-3 minutes drive from Gurney Drive. With modern vintage vibes, it offers affordable local favourites such as roti kaya with half boiled eggs, koay teow soup, chicken hor fun, nasi lemak and chee cheong fun. Most importantly the traditional coffee is rich and creamy! I love their 'cham' (coffee and tea mix) too.
Price wise, it's really affordable. Drinks start at around RM 2.50 while food starts at around RM 7.
