The building exudes warmth and perfectly matches the town’s atmosphere. Summer wouldn’t be complete without some gelato, right? This shop is always bustling with tourists and locals alike. While driving along the Setouchi Shimanami Kaido, which connects the islands from Hiroshima to Ehime, we stopped by the main store of the gelato shop "Shimanami Dolce" and it was really nice 🥹 The secret to its deliciousness is that there is a factory next to the shop so you can taste freshly made gelato! This is a popular gelato shop located on the Hiroshima side of the Shimanami Kaido, on the lemon island of Setoda. Everything looked so delicious that I had a hard time deciding what to order, including gelato made with seasonal fruits and gelato made with Hakata salt. It's not a very accessible location, but there were always customers coming in.
