Doi Luang Chiang Dao @ Chiang Mai
Missing | Chiang Dao 🌳⛰
Travel: Ride a motorbike up there. Follow the GPS. The road is very steep but fun. The atmosphere is very good, a bit cold. Driving up there, there are not many cars. It's like driving alone in the middle of the mountain. There are only cars passing by every now and then. But when you get to the top of the mountain, there are a lot of cars parked. 🚗🛵
Car rental: Bikky shop, no deposit required. Super good.
Accommodation: We stayed at Baan Lisu Homestay 🏞 Sleeping in a tent, 600 baht per person, including dinner + breakfast.
We arrived around 3 pm, the weather was very nice. We put our stuff in the tent and went to take pictures. We can also walk to take pictures at other accommodations. We walked and took pictures. We stopped to have a green tea smoothie together. The atmosphere was great. It was great. In the evening, around 5 pm, we went back to the accommodation to wait for dinner. After eating, we rushed to take a shower. I was afraid of being cold. 555555 There was no hot water. The water was so cold. After taking a shower, we went up to see the view. The accommodation did not have electricity, but used solar power instead. That day was a rainy day. There was not much sun. The electricity ran out at 6 pm, so the battery was dead. I recommend bringing a lot of power banks, lol. *But there are power banks for rent on the mountain. I can't remember the price, lol. The electricity wasn't that bad, but there wasn't much of a phone signal. I couldn't use anything. I could only use it rarely. There was no service even when I was in a tent. That day, I went to bed at 9 pm. 🤧
I woke up at 6 am in the morning to see the fog. I woke up at noon in Korat. I was so confused, lol. After I showered and got dressed, I went up to eat. There was rice porridge, Ovaltine, and coffee for me to choose from. I ate rice porridge in the thick fog. My hair was soaking wet. There was so much fog that I couldn't even see the mountains because I went during the rainy season. It was drizzling that day. I waited to take pictures in the morning, but at almost 10 am, the fog was still there. At almost 11 am, the fog started to clear. I could see the mountains. I quickly took pictures. After taking pictures, I packed up and went back to Doi Suthep...
