The Distillery Historic District
The Distillery District is a commercial and residential district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, east of downtown, which contains numerous cafés, restaurants, and shops housed within heritage buildings of the former Gooderham and Worts Distillery. The 13 acres (5.3 ha) district comprises more than forty heritage buildings and ten streets, and is the largest collection of Victorian-era industrial architecture in North America.
Such a wonderful place to visit. Lots of items preserved from the past so you will know what is the place before.
There are also events that are done at this place like weddings!

Toronto's literary youths are good places to go
the old brewery area in Toronto, just like the 798 Art District in Beijing. There are modern and classical collisions here, and it is also the place where locals like to gather.
This is a romantic art district that combines shoppers, art galleries and restaurants. Even local kids like to come here on weekends. The
is the best representative of a new and old fusion, it completely retains the Victorian industrial complex and the brewing equipment of the time. There are also galleries, exhibition halls, cafes and bars that are everywhere. When you come here, it's better to have a cup of coffee or a beer, and have a leisurely day with friends and talk about the past.
YIYI NOTES.

The Distillery District in Toronto is a National Heritage Conservation District of Canada and is the best-preserved Victorian-era industrial area in North America.
The Distillery was originally named Gooderham & Worts, founded in 1832. By the 1860s, it was not only the largest distillery in the British Empire but also the largest in the world at that time.
Today, this ancient building has become a famous center for arts, culture, and shopping leisure. The old factory area is divided into several sections by a few small streets. In addition to the brewing equipment from that time which is still on display for visitors, the area is full of bars, restaurants, galleries, craft shops, bakeries, etc. Here you can also see various workshops, such as glass workshops, bread workshops, small chocolate factories, and beer workshops. Moreover, there are several galleries, and many craftsmen and painters work on-site in the workshops, displaying and selling their finished products at the front.
In such an artistically rich place, you can stroll around, taste some wine, have a coffee, do some shopping, take beautiful photos, and experience the unique artistic atmosphere here.

Winter Village Distillery District TO
If you are looking for a Christmas market or bazaar at downtown Toronto, look no further and go to the Distillery or what is called the Winter Village. Some days are FREE some days you need to pay for the entrance (maybe weekends) We went there on a Tuesday so it's FREE. Lots of shops from clothes, souvenirs, food and restaurants and lots of places to get a good selfie and also picture. There is a very big Christmas tree with very beautiful lights. The place was actually sponsored by DIOR.

So where is the one spot in Toronto with the most Christmas spirit? The answer is the Christmas Market! Toronto’s Distillery district hosts a lively Christmas Market. The entire area is like a small town, offering a different experience.
But at the mention of markets you might easily think of those flea markets we see in China, with all kinds of small products and street stalls, like the Chinese New Year sale markets. This is nothing like that. You won’t be seeing a dazzling array of products. Instead, what will greet you is a massive gathering infused with the Christmas spirit and joy. People come here in search of joy, a bit like temple fairs in China.
Like previous years, this festive street market well beloved by Torontonians is still to be found at the colorful Distillery Market. Apart from the large-scale Christmas lighting, you can get a feel of a European style festive market spirit, definitely a romantic experience. This also sees the biggest Christmas shopping activity, with every kind of locally made handicrafts [on sale].
