Transportation Guide • Bus: Take bus K1 from Weihai North Railway Station and get off at "Liugong Island Pier" stop; take bus K2 from Weihai Railway Station and get off at "Liugong Island Pier" stop. • Self-driving: Navigate to Liugong Island Passenger Transport Center and park your car in the parking lot of the center. The west parking lot is closer to the entrance of the ticket inspection hall. • Taxi: Take a taxi from Weihai downtown to Liugong Island Pier, which takes about 20–30 minutes. Ticket Information • Ticket price: The standard price is CNY 122, including round-trip ferry tickets and island attraction tickets. • Ticket purchase: You can book tickets on the official website of Weihai Liugong Island or major online travel platforms, or buy tickets on site. Opening Hours The first ferry to the island departs at 7:30, the last ferry to the island departs at 15:00, and the last ferry from the island departs at 17:30. Travel Route • After arriving on the island, visit the Jiawu War Museum to learn about the history of the Jiawu War. Recently, I was invited to visit the Dingyuan Ship Scenic Area in Weihai City, Shandong Province. The main landscape here is the flagship Dingyuan of the Beiyang Navy in the late Qing Dynasty. The historical Dingyuan ship was produced in the 19th century. It is powerful and well-protected. It was once known as the "Asia's first ship", but it was destroyed during the Sino-Japanese War. In order to commemorate this history, the Chinese side began to build the Dingyuan ship in 2004.
