Historic buildings
Dili City was built on a small hill, with villages and towns to the south and Qin River to the north. It was surrounded by water on three sides and shaped like a peninsula. Looking at the city from a distance, it looked like a rock-like pillar standing in the middle of the river, hence the name Dili City. The construction date of the city is unknown, but from the stele "A View of the Mountain City" in the 11th year of the Chongzhen reign of the Ming Dynasty (1638), it is known that its founding date should be before the end of the Ming Dynasty. The city is oval in shape, built of bricks, and covers an area of about 60,000 square meters. There is a main gate in the south, and the city wall rises from the ground, about ten meters high. The riverside city wall is built from the riverside, about 20 meters high, with battlements and artillery platforms, etc., which are used to guard against foreign enemies. It is now destroyed. The main gate is inscribed with "Diji City", which is the passage for residents in the city to go out; there are stone stairs along the city wall in the north of the city, and you can go down the stairs to the water gate to take a boat. The roads in the city are regular, and a ring road is built around the city. The rest are residential lanes, and all kinds of facilities are complete. In ancient times, when there was chaos and chaos, the city gates were closed, forming a self-contained entity that could not be broken. The houses in the city are divided into ten blocks, which are arranged in an orderly manner. The houses are connected by overpasses at the top of each alley, which is convenient for people to walk. Most of these houses are single-entry and double-courtyard houses. Most of the houses in the courtyard are double-storey, and most of them have corridors. The door lintels of the houses are all inscribed with the words "XX House", which is quite elegant. One of them is "Youheng House", which has fine wood and stone construction craftsmanship, four beams and eight pillars, four doors and eight windows, and has a strong folk style.
