🇭🇰Easy trip to Lei Yue Mun Devil's Peak
#GreaterBayAreaFun #HongKong
Devil's Hill, aka Fortress Hill, in Lei Yue Mun is a relatively easy hiking route.
If you start from Yau Tong, it is easier to walk. The private road via Tseung Kwan O Chinese Cemetery goes uphill and takes Section 3 of the Wai Yi Sin Trail. It takes less than an hour to reach the summit.
The reason why Devil's Hill is called Fortress Hill is because it has Song Fu Fortress, Devil's Hill Fortress and Pokfulam Fort. Although the military ruins above lack conservation, graffiti and littering, the hilltop is more open, you can see the view of the Victoria Harbor East Waterway and Tseung Kwan O Cross-Bay Bridge, attracting many people to watch the sunrise or sunset.
Ps: No supplies after departure, watch the sunset must bring a flashlight

The Devils Peak and his cave, Kowloon.
Great views from the Peak and some old history to devour whilst getting some good exercise.
Back in the day this place was a haven for pirates and more recently it was a military fort type installation. The all round views and scenery in general are breathtakingly beautiful.

Devil's Hill Fort
This time we introduce an easy and easy BB and hiking route for you, which is to hike the Devil's Hill Fort in Yau Tong. You can take the MTR to Yau Tong Station and get off at Exit A1. The entire route is 5 kilometers long and takes about two hours to complete.
A 10-minute walk from the MTR station will take you to the trailhead Ko Chau Road. The road conditions along the way are very easy to walk, and it is full of shade. Devils Mountain is also a great place to enjoy the sunset, however remember remember to bring a flashlight if you want to see the sunset, as there is no lighting measure on this hike. I recommend this easy and easy hiking route to everyone!

Famous mountain peak with breathtaking scenery
Address: Section 3 of Wilson Trail, Yau Tong
Environment/Facilities: Historical site
Features: Ideal for a short hiking trip with the whole family
Price per person: Free
Rating: 9/10
The official name is Devil's Peak, also known as Devil Mountain among locals. Located on the outskirts of the urban area near Yau Tong and Lei Yue Mun, this mountain was historically significant for guarding ships entering Victoria Harbor. During World War II, it served as a fortress for fierce battles against Japanese forces. After the war, it lost its purpose and became abandoned, offering a cool and tranquil atmosphere. Visiting during sunset adds a special charm to the experience. If driving, you can park at the residential area at the foot of the mountain. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the entrance, followed by a 30-minute hike to the summit. The highlight is the stunning view of the entire Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge, along with panoramic views of East Hong Kong Island and East Kowloon. The scenery is truly exceptional.

Devil's Mountain beginner hiking route, explore the fort and enjoy the unparalleled sea view
#Devil Hill (also known as Fortress Hill) in Lei Yue Mun is a beginner hiking route. Even beginners can easily climb to the top, explore the Fortress ruins🪖, and enjoy the sea view🌊sunset🌄
🧭 Route:
From Exit A of Yau Tong MTR Station, you can take a break at a large shopping mall to go to the restroom. Pass through Gau Chau Road and connect to the driveway of Tseung Kwan O Chinese Permanent Cemetery. Go up the slope for about 10 minutes and you will see the stairs of the Wei Yi Sin Trail across the road. Follow the signs on Fortress Hill to continue up the hill. Along the third section of the Wei Yi Xin Trail, for about 10-20 minutes, you can visit the ruins of the Gefu Fortress and the Devil's Fortress.
The abandoned fortresses and the dilapidated fortresses bear the traces of history and artillery fire. See the view of #VictoriaHarbor East Waterway, #Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge, etc. at the top of the hill, sit down and watch the sunset, it is a leisurely afternoon.

Bravely explore the ancient military resort - Yau Tong Devil's Hill
A good holiday place in Hong Kong
The hiking route of Devil's Mountain is not very difficult.
This time I can see the hiking route of Devil's Mountain in one article
If you want to breathe fresh air, you might as well go hiking at Devil's Mountain.
Close to the city, 2 hours to visit the moat,
historical military sites such as the fort and views of Victoria Harbour .
Novices can still walk easily. It is a must-go for holiday picnics
Start from Exit A2 of Yau Tong MTR Station.
Go straight along Chau Kwa Leng Road next to Yau Tong Tai Pong Shopping Centre.
Cross the road at the traffic light and turn left onto Gau Chau Road.
After walking through the roundabout and Lei Yue Mun Village, you will reach the Tseung Kwan O Chinese Permanent Cemetery.
Then walk uphill next to the driveway exit until the entrance to the Wei Yi Sin Trail appears on the left. This road is the only way for most Yau Tong exams (learning to drive) to learn the gods.
Siu-Kim failed the road test for his driving license in Yau Tong, so he failed the female license examiner, so he felt a lot when he revisited his old place
During the hike, you need to walk up from 30 meters to 118 meters in a short distance, which is relatively steep and strenuous, but the walk to the Wei Yi Sin Trail slowly becomes flat. Have a good fight.

The top of the mountain has a great view and important historical value
During the British rule, many forts and forts were built in major ports for defense. This is the main one located at Devil's Hill in Lei Yue Mun, which echoes the other one on the opposite bank. In those days, in addition to artillery batteries and bunkers, there were also heavy troops stationed there.
After the war, the route to the mountain was simple and the mountain was only about 200 meters high. The scenery was also great. In addition to being able to enjoy the view of Victoria Harbour, you can also see the Clear Water Bay Peninsula and the changes in Tseung Kwan O in recent years. You can even see the Eastern Dragon Bird in the distance. Therefore, it has attracted many families to travel together in recent years. On the way back, you can stop by the quarry and have dinner at Lei Yue Mun Seafood Street

Walk from the Base Camp Shopping Centre at Yau Tong MTR Station to Lei Yue Mun, and then walk for about an hour to the Devil's Hill Fort. The entire Sanjiacun Wharf is right in front of us. Beautiful view of sunset.

Blockhouse Ruins Hike
It was cloudy and I wanted to go down the mountain. Going to Yau Tong to climb Fortress Hill was a wrong choice🏃♀️
Fortress Hill is also known as Devil Peak. Because the top of the mountain overlooks the eastern entrance of Victoria Harbour, there is a bunker on the mountain. Although it is now abandoned, it is still intact and a good place to check in.
I started from Yau Tong MTR Station, went to Gough Fort first, then followed the trail to the top of the fort. There was a large platform at the top of the mountain where you could enjoy the sea view and sunset, and then went to Lam Tin Station (you can also return to Yau Tong Station by the same route)
The route was flat and easy to travel, and I saw parents bringing their children who had just learned to walk.
It's cloudy today. The scenery will be much better if it's sunny.
