Okinawa American Village|Kaiden Sushi Ichiban-tei, a good choice for eating sushi
Okinawa American Village is a shopping and entertainment district full of American style, attracting many tourists to go shopping, take photos and enjoy the island scenery. But in addition to shopping and scenery, American Village also has a food attraction that cannot be missed, that is Kaiten Sushi Ichiban-tei. This conveyor belt sushi restaurant is located at the entrance of American Village. It has an eye-catching sign and convenient parking. Every day, a large number of customers line up here, and both locals and tourists praise the sushi here. I was also attracted by the good reviews on the Internet and decided to come here to taste the seafood feast of Okinawa.
It was already noon when I arrived, and there were already quite a few people waiting outside the store. I first went to the counter to draw a number tag, and then waited patiently for my number to be called. After waiting for about half an hour, I was finally seated. I was assigned a seat at the bar area, where I could directly see the busy chefs. I found that the sushi plates here are of different colors, representing different prices, ranging from 140 yen to 420 yen, which is approximately between 40 yuan and 120 yuan when converted into Taiwan dollars. I think the price is reasonable, after all, the ingredients here are very fresh and abundant, and each plate of sushi is very large, almost covering the entire rice ball.
I ordered some sushi that I wanted to eat and found that there are many kinds of sushi here. In addition to the common tuna, salmon, shrimp, octopus, etc., there are also some seafood unique to Okinawa, such as blue sea bream, flounder, Misaki beef, etc. Every plate of sushi makes my eyes light up and looks very tempting. I started with the most basic tuna sushi. When I took a bite, I could feel the sweetness and juiciness of the tuna meat and the perfect hardness of the rice ball. I then had the sea bream sushi which was my favourite dish. The sea bream was thickly cut, the meat was tender and chewy, and there were some salmon roe on top to add taste and color. It was really delicious. I also tried some other sushi, such as grilled salmon, tamagoyaki, sea urchin, crab meat, etc. Each one amazed me and not a single one disappointed me.
In addition to sushi, there are also some cooked food and side dishes, such as udon noodles, fried chicken, salad, miso soup, etc. I think this is very suitable for dining with children or people who don’t like raw food. I also ordered a bowl of miso soup to try. The soup was light and refreshing, very appetizing. The tempura was also delicious, the outside was crispy and not greasy, the inside was juicy and the mustard sauce made it even more flavorful.
After finishing all the food, I asked the clerk to pay the bill, and the clerk took a scanner to scan the number and color of my plates, and then told me the total amount. I find this very convenient and quick, without having to count plates or make change myself. This time I ate more than a dozen plates of sushi and some cooked side dishes, and the total cost was about 3,000 yen (about NT$800). I think this price is very cost-effective. You may not be able to eat such fresh and diverse sushi in Taiwan. The service was also very good. The waiters were very kind and friendly, and they helped us change tea and collect plates from time to time.
Overall, I am very satisfied with Kaiten Sushi Ichiban-tei and recommend it. The quality, price, service and atmosphere are all great. If you also want to taste the delicious seafood in Okinawa, don't miss this place! #Okinawa Food
