From Richmond, Vancouver, take a boat trip to Vancouver Island, passing large and small islands as well as the Canyon Waterway along the way. The boat ride takes about 2 hours. It is recommended to bring a small amount of snacks. It is really relaxing to enjoy the beautiful scenery while eating.

Bass Pro Shops are Mind Blowing!
The Bass Pro Shop in Tsawwassen is simply put the most mind blowing "shop" i have ever experienced. I put shop in quotations because this place is arguably also a museum, art exhibition, Icon, and more. Upon walking through the main entrance you are greeted by the most incredible scene, Hanging above your head is a wooden beam with multiple stuffed stag heads, behind which is the main corridor. This corridor is affixed along its sides with hundreds of stuffed animals, along with recreations of their natural habitats and natural paintings. Walking to the end of this corridor you can find a huge aquarium loaded with large fish.
However this shop has more to offer than decor, it has just about the most complete outside gear inventory you could imagine, if you can picture using it in an outdoor setting, you can buy it here. From boots to tools to tents to vehicles to crossbows to coyote urine, its on sale here. They also have a selection of local snacks, hot sauces, clothing, souvenirs, furniture and hunting licenses.
If you consider yourself an outdoors person, you need to get down here, this is the place for you.

Coast Tsawwassen Inn Recommended Hotels in Vancouver, Canada

Very clean and modern hotel. If you need to be close to the ferry then this is a good option.
I found the breakfast to be the best free breakfast I have ever had. There are omelets, hot quinoa oatmeal, fruit, homemade scones and muffins, and Starbucks coffee and tea. They also serve hot cider in the evening.
I rarely feel a hotel exceeds my expectations, but considering the price was so affordable, this one definitely did! Highly recommended!

BC Ferries
British Columbia Ferry Services Inc., operating as BC Ferries (BCF), is a former provincial Crown corporation, now operating as an independently managed, publicly owned Canadian company. BC Ferries provides all major passenger and vehicle ferry services for coastal and island communities in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Set up in 1960 to provide a similar service to that provided by the Black Ball Line and the Canadian Pacific Railway, which were affected by job action at the time, BC Ferries has become the largest passenger ferry line in North America, operating a fleet of 41 vessels with a total passenger and crew capacity of over 27,000, serving 47 locations on the B.C. coast.
The federal and provincial governments subsidize BC Ferries to provide agreed service levels on essential links between the BC mainland, coastal islands, and parts of the mainland without road access. The inland ferries operating on British Columbia's rivers and lakes are not run by BC Ferries. The responsibility for their provision rests with the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, which contracts operation to various private sector companies.
At its inception, BC Ferries was a division of the British Columbia Toll Highways and Bridges Authority, a provincial Crown corporation. Through successive reorganizations, it evolved into the British Columbia Ferry Authority and then the British Columbia Ferry Corporation, both of which were also provincial Crown corporations. In 2003, the Government of British Columbia announced that BC Ferries, which had been in debt, would be reorganized into a private corporation, implemented through the passage of the Coastal Ferry Act (Bill 18–2003). The single voting share of BC Ferries Corporation is held by the provincial government's BC Ferry Authority, which operates under the rules of the Act.

Victoria Day Tour - Embarkation
It was my first time to take such a big ship. I think there were five floors on the ship. There were also restaurants, toilets, shops... There were so many things to see and do. You could go shopping when you were bored. The weather was very good on the day I set out, with blue sky and white clouds. It was a very interesting journey for the four of us. The wind was very strong on the deck, so it was basically impossible to take beautiful photos of people and scenery, but you could take beautiful photos of the scenery.
