The Delhi Metro
Introduction- The Delhi Metro is a mass rapid transit (MRT) system serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh, in the National Capital Region of India. The network consists of 10 colour-coded lines serving 255 stations with a total length of 348.12 kilometres. It is by far the largest and busiest metro rail system in India, and the second oldest after the Kolkata Metro. The system has a mix of underground, at-grade, and elevated stations using both broad-gauge and standard-gauge. Delhi Metro operates over 2,700 trips daily, starting at around 05:30 and ending at 23:30. It is none less than a revolution in this era of traffic in a busy city like Delhi. It is safe for the girls as well.
Getting There - One needs to look in to the maps and look for nearest metro stations in their departure area and destination in order to ensure smooth journey. You can easily find in out in Google.
Food & Restaurants - There are multiple food restaurants inside the metro stations, specially in Rajiv Chowk metro station I have seen.

must visit at Delhi - Akshardham
This Hindu temple is definitely a must visit at Delhi due to its grand scale. It’s open day and night- you can see it light up once it’s evening. Pity we cannot bring phone in and have to store at lockers but definitely check out this big place that is really packed with locals when at Delhi.

Eager trip to Agra! home of 7 wonders
Our India trip will never be complete without a stop here. but before we reach the majestic Taj Mahal, we were greeted by the beauty of The Red Stone Mosque. the red color building gives a nice contrast to the white sacred Taj Mahal standing not far from this.
It is located near #TajMahal. faces west in the direction of Mecca, and is 64m in length and 24m wide. the architecture was marvelous, immaculate design of tiles and walls mesmerised us and we cant just stop taking pictures.
This mosques standing on the edge of River Yamuna are still used for worship wih Muslim people from all over the world. wish we had more time to be spent here

Cycling around Delhi City
this trip was way back in May, 2015. India has always been on the list and we started at the city of Delhi. we went for city sightseeing on a bicycle for almost 5 hours. we stopped at magnificent landmarks around the city such as Shahi Jama Masjid by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1656 AD. It took 5 years with the help of 5000 people to build this magnificent & biggest mosque in Delhi. Then to LalQila or famous known as #redfort. Work begun in 1639 & completed 9 years later. Also to Shahi Jama Masjid by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1656 AD. It took 5 years with the help of 5000 people to build this magnificent & biggest mosque in Delhi. Lastly to the rooftop that overlooks #delhi. In front of me was the Fatehpuri Masjid; built in 1650 out of jealousy by one of Shah Jahan's wives. Well.. she was very upset that his husband dedicated the Taj Mahal to the 3rd wife; Mumtaz Mahal & decided to build one memorial for herself.
We also stopped by the market to buy spices. We had fun. India is full of people along the streets and sooo busy but we loves the colorful city

But this was the first time I literally observed this stunning view of sunrising amidst the clouds in the sky. It was so surreal that I couldn't wait but clicked that moment to freeze it. I tried my best to click the best pictures I could while flying....... and enjoyed the view to the fullest...
I think you all should enjoy the view... once while flying.....#2023travelwish#mytripvlo#tripblazers g

namaste from India
Below are our top things to do in the state of Delhi;
⁃ A trip to India wouldn’t be complete without a visit New Delhi the capital city, located in the state of Delhi. This huge chaotic metropolis where different faiths coexist together in peace is a testament of the unity in diversity. Exploring the city can be overwhelming and a culture shock as Delhi can be chaos; haste; serene; love … it all depends how you view it. We certainly found it challenging at times. We split the city up into South Delhi, Central Delhi and Old Delhi.
⁃ South Delhi typically tends to be less chaotic and more affluent and Hauz Khas is a lovely area with a park and cafes and shops for those seeking solitude. Don’t forget to check out Qutub Minar the highest brick minaret in the world built in the 13th century and Humayun’s Tomb for a brilliant architectural example of the Mughal period.
⁃ Central Delhi houses the central business area and covers a lot of sights but some of the more iconic ones are India Gate a 42 metre high war memorial; Rashtrapati Bhavan the presidents house; Agrasen Ki Baoli a step-well which is believed to be the most haunted monument in Delhi and is in many movies; Connaught Place was once the cinema district and you’ll find vintage cinemas, bars and restaurants here. We also visited Gurudwara Shri Bangla Sahib a Sikh house of worship which has a golden dome and a pool of water with healing properties. We had a unique tour teaching us about Sikhism, the Indian religion originating in the Punjab region - this was a really unique experience.
⁃ Old Delhi is home to the famous Red Fort which was home to the Mughal empire for around 200 years and is worth checking out. Nearby is the Chandi Chowk, Asia’s biggest market (imagine Amazon if it was not online - you can literally find everything here) where narrow lanes host shops and food vendors.

If you are someone always on the lookout for food items that is found only overseas (locally at that country), you should not miss out on McVeggie At India.
Given the huge population of vegans and vegetarians there, the McDonald’s in India have a special menu item called mcveggie (burger with vegetarian patty) which is not available in most other countries I visited. Taste did not disappoint- do try this affordable and tasty burger.

Enjoy a wide range of vegetarian food - Delhi

Are you someone who can have a meal, fully vegetarian? Or you can’t, and don’t think there are enough options? Would love to recommend this place called Haldiram’s - a food court housing different vegetarian food from nann, mixed vegetable rice, prata, cakes, breads, etc. They also have chai which is really nice made of brewed tea in India.
Food options are plenty with good quality and taste.
