The view of the railways and the river was stunning and we were shocked by how they managed to build the railway in such a short period of time during World War II. Very impressive work. Visitors can walk on the railway to get to the other side and the train will make sure that there is no visitors on the railway when it is approaching. The walk on the railway can be quite dangerous, so visitors have to be more careful while doing so! Stunning views and visitors are able to capture a lot of instagrammable photos! There is also a cave on the other side with a Buddha statue in it. Be sure to ride on the train to catch the beautiful scenery in Kanchanaburi, definitely worth the visit!

All loves. I stayed at Kanchanaburi City hotel. Recommended. This hotel is walking distance to Jeath War Museum, Railway station Namtok-Thonburi line to Bangkok. Can get food at downtown area ie: JJ night market. Stayed 2 days at Cubic Pratunam Hotel. Also recommended. 10minutes walk to Pratunam Night Market, Platinum Mall, Phaya Thai station subway. Many massage centers all around the hotel. Got 7E convenience store next to the hotel. Easy catch to grab/tuktuk/motor taxi if you dont want to walk.

This trip started from Kanchanaburi Railway Station. The 10:30 train costs 25 baht (this price is for Thai people, but I'm not sure about the price for foreigners). The entire route of traveling on this train line allows us to experience the view outside the train window surrounded by beautiful nature. The journey doesn't take long, about 1 hour, until we reach Tham Krasae Station at 11:50. At this point, most tourists go to take pictures and check in with the train. Another group goes to worship at Tham Krasae first. For those who are hungry, there are both food and drinks here. Shopaholics can buy clothes and souvenirs to take back. The train back is at 13:25, as seen in the schedule, but it was delayed until 13:30. Take the train back to Kanchanaburi, and the trip is over.
