Outlander Set: Castle Hunt in Scotland! 🏴 🇬🇧
This is Dean Castle located in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland. It was built around 1350 AD. Just like any castle there is always that interesting story to be told.
There is a lot of information about the castle as you explore inside. If you are a history geek then castle visits will definitely entertain you.
Dean Castle has a huge park as well for the whole family to enjoy. It is a pet friendly park so you can tag along your dogs here.
The park and the castle are free of charge. It has a cafe as well so you can conveniently grab something to eat and drink there.
Fun Fact: Dean Castle was used as a filming set for Outlander TV series (season 2) as Beaufort Castle.

DEAN CASTLE
Getting There - Car 🚗 From Glasgow city centre to Kilmarnock.It took about 40 minutes to get there.
Attractions - Dean castle
The castle was built in 14th century, once hold by Boyd family. The keep is an addition built in 19th century, you can walk up there, it was amazing in the interior. Walk up the 40-staircase spiral stairs, you can see the dungeon. It was so cool!
There is a gift shop where you can buy some for yourself 😙
