Çanakkale: Sea breeze and sun: delicious food, beautiful views and unforgettable coastal moments
#2024TravelReview
Çanakkale, a city in northwestern Turkey bordering the Aegean Sea and the Dardanelles, was just a geographical location in my mind before I set off. However, once I arrived, it completely won me over with its stunning coastline, fresh seafood, welcoming people and stunning natural scenery.
On the first day of arriving in Canakkale, I was deeply attracted by the blue sea and golden beach. The sun shines on the sea, making the waves sparkle, and the sea breeze gently blows across your face, bringing bursts of freshness. I couldn't wait to take off my shoes and walk barefoot on the soft beach, feeling the touch of the fine sand and listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. My body and mind were completely relaxed.
I stayed in a hotel by the sea, and I could enjoy the unbeatable sea view from the balcony of my room. Every morning, I drink a cup of Turkish coffee on the balcony, watching the ever-changing colors on the sea at sunrise and feeling the beginning of the day.
In Çanakkale, seafood is definitely a delicacy that you cannot miss. I go to the local seafood market every day, pick the freshest seafood, and then enjoy it in a restaurant by the sea. Fresh seafood, paired with authentic Turkish cooking techniques, is delicious and unforgettable. I especially like grilled fish. The fish is tender and juicy, and paired with lemon and spices, it is simply a delicacy.
In addition to seafood, Canakkale has many other delicacies worth trying. For example, the local specialties Pide and Kebap are both very delicious. While tasting the food, I also met some locals who were very hospitable and shared with me many stories and interesting anecdotes about Canakkale.
During my few days in Çanakkale, I also participated in many outdoor activities. I rented a small boat and sailed on the Dardanelles, enjoying the beautiful scenery on both sides of the strait. The scenery on both sides of the strait is different. On one side are green hills, and on the other side is the vast blue sea. The scenery is pleasant and refreshing.
I also went to a few beaches near Canakkale to sunbathe and swim. These beaches have clear water and soft sand, making them ideal for a relaxing vacation. On the beach, I also saw many locals playing beach volleyball and beach football. Their laughter made the whole beach full of vitality.
In the evening, I would go for a walk on the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset. The afterglow of the setting sun shines on the sea, dyeing the water golden. The scenery is spectacular and touching. On the beach, I also saw many couples walking and feeling the romantic atmosphere.
When I left Çanakkale, I was filled with reluctance. This beautiful coastal city has brought me countless surprises and unforgettable memories. The sea breeze, sunshine, delicious food and the warm hospitality of the local people in Çanakkale will become unforgettable memories for me. Canakkale, a place that far exceeded my expectations and a place worth visiting again. This trip was not only a sightseeing trip, but also a spiritual baptism. It allowed me to feel the unique charm of Türkiye's northwestern coastal area and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The sea breeze and sunshine of Canakkale will always remain in my heart.
