I booked an executive river-view king-size bed room at the Fuchun River Atour Hotel. The room overlooked the Fuchun River, and the square across the street from the hotel had a market with many snack stalls. You can also walk towards the residential area, where you'll find Hangzhou cuisine and various noodle shops that have been open for many years. (The hotel scenery is beautiful, but because it faces the square, it's a bit noisy, especially on the second day when the aunties come early to do square dancing, so you need to ask the front desk for earplugs in advance, otherwise you won't sleep well in the morning.) The next day, I took a taxi to Daqishan Mountain. The mountain is not big, and it only takes two hours to walk around and take photos.
