It is one of the best playgrounds in Korea where children can play to the fullest. Especially in autumn, you can have a great time with your family, accompanied by a unique view. On my third or fourth time returning to Korea, I wanted to explore something different. That’s why I added Damyang Metasequoia Road to my list. As autumn arrives, the towering metasequoia trees transform into warm shades of amber and golden brown, creating an awe-inspiring, tunnel-like path that feels like stepping into another world. These trees, with their tall, symmetrical trunks and feathery leaves, offer a unique and calming beauty that contrasts perfectly with the vibrant colors of autumn foliage. After spending two days in Naejangsan Park, I took a highway bus to Gwangju and stayed overnight. The next morning, I got up early and called a taxi to Damyang Metasequoia Road. The reward for being an early bird was an almost empty road—how beautiful! We strolled leisurely along the road, covering about 1 or 2 kilometers, before exploring the park and garden on the right. There are plenty of metasequoia trees in the park as well, and it was absolutely lovely. #autumnbeauty

Metasequoia can see great things all year round, but among them, you can see the most beautiful things when the autumn leaves are in season, and I went to see the autumn leaves this time. Shall we leave now? It was nice to be here a little early in the morning because there were a lot of spaces in the parking lot and not a lot of people. #falltrip The original name of Metasequoia-gil is Metasequoia-gil. But usually, it's called Metasequoire, and I know it like that, so I think it's almost become a standard language. Anyway, Metasequoia-gil has a beautiful road in the center, but the road on the side is also very good to walk. The scenery is even more beautiful because wetlands and parks are well established on the side. People walking, people taking pictures. As soon as I saw the variety, I was amazed and took pictures of the scenery right away I went down and got closer. It's so pretty and picturesque that the trees and clouds on the lake below are not captured in the picture, but it's not a very satisfying autumn leaves, but it's a perfect autumn attraction.

#falltrip Thre are a few kms of the road reserved for pedestrians.It is a popular place to visit in November as metasequoias are one of the last trees to lose their leaves in Korea. The trees around the triangular lake were fully bronzed and may be finished soon, but the ones lining the road had a fair amount of green left in them especially at the top. In 2000, some of the metasequoias were destroyed to make way for the new 4-lane road connecting Damyang and Sunchang. There was an attempt by the Damyang citizens to preserve the metasequoias. In 2002, the street was awarded the grand prize in the "Beautiful Wood Contest." In 2006, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation named it one of the top 100 Most Beautiful Streets in South Korea.
