This is Yangzhou.
It's best to come to Yangzhou on weekdays, otherwise the weekend experience may not be as good. The main purpose of visiting Yangzhou is to eat and play. In the morning, arrange to have morning tea. We recommend the Garden Teahouse or Ye Chun on Yanfu Road (after eating, you can take a walk nearby, there are sightseeing boats and the Tianci Zen Temple). If you want something more upscale, you can go to Quyuan for morning tea, which is right next to Shouxihu Lake. For lunch or dinner, you can find a restaurant to try Huaiyang cuisine. We recommend Yangzhou Banquet, Pingshan Banquet, Yangzhou Lion Tower, Xishi Tower, etc. As for places to visit, start with Daming Temple, then go to Shouxihu Lake, Dongguan Street, Ge Garden, He Garden. Yangzhou is a place for slow living, so take your time to savor it.

Fireworks at Daming Temple
On the day I went to Daming Temple, although it was already May, the weather was gloomy and cold, making me feel that my clothes were too thin. That day, the temple was holding some kind of religious ceremony, and the monks were lined up in the bustling temple, chanting scriptures.
Standing inside the temple and looking at the Qiling Pagoda, one could feel a sense of antiquity. However, upon closer inspection of the building materials, this pagoda, like the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, has been rebuilt in modern times with a reinforced concrete structure.
The Jianzhen Memorial Hall, although also a modern construction, has a layout and design worth appreciating. It was only after I returned home that I learned it was designed by Liang Sicheng, and indeed, the work of a master is distinctive.

Enter the Millennium Ancient Temple - Daming Temple in Yangzhou
Daming Temple, located in the northwest suburbs of Yangzhou city, was founded during the Daming era of Emperor Xiaowu of the Southern Song dynasty (457-464 AD), and has been renamed several times, known as the number one temple in Huaidong (and it's not a 'Taoist temple').
Visit Highlights
1. Jianzhen Memorial Hall: Designed by the famous architect Liang Sicheng, there is his stone statue on the left side of the entrance, and on the right side, there is the stone statue of Zhao Puchu, the former president of the Buddhist Association.
2. Pingshan Hall and Ouyang Shrine: The house where Ouyang Xiu served as the prefect of Yangzhou. Leaning on the railing, one can gaze at the mountains of the south of the Yangtze River, which are level with the line of sight, hence the name 'Pingshan Hall'.
3. Gulin Hall: Built by the great literary figure of the Northern Song dynasty, Su Shi, during his tenure as the prefect of Yangzhou. The name comes from the words 'valley' and 'forest' in Su Shi's poem 'Deep valleys are secluded, and high forests are supportive'.
4. The Qianlong Emperor's Stele: Engraved with three poems written by the Qianlong Emperor when he came to Daming Temple to pay homage to the relics of Ouyang during his tour of the south of the Yangtze River.
5. The Fifth Spring: From the 'Tea Steeping Notes' written by Zhang Youxin, the top scholar of the Tang dynasty in the ninth year of Yuanhe (814 AD), which says 'The water of Daming Temple in Yangzhou is the fifth best'.
6. Qiling Pagoda: Houses three sarira (cremated relics) of Sakyamuni Buddha, and from the top of the pagoda, one can view the entire city of Yangzhou.
Ticket Price: 45 yuan, and an additional 20 yuan is required to climb the Qiling Pagoda. It is recommended to buy a combo ticket that includes nearby attractions such as Slender West Lake and Ge Garden, which is valid for two days. You can save 5-10 yuan, and after visiting Daming Temple, you can conveniently go to the nearby Slender West Lake (close to both the north and east gates). It is best to book tickets online in advance.
Transportation: There are special tourist buses like Tour 1 and public buses to Daming Temple station within the city. From high-speed rail stations such as Nanjing South Station and Nanjing Station, you can choose several buses like the Z6 route at the eastern or western transportation hubs, some of which transfer to tourist buses like Tour 1 and Tour 2, and some take you directly to the Pingshan Hall parking lot nearby, like Tour 3. It is recommended to download navigation apps like Baidu Maps or Amap for the clearest directions to Daming Temple.

Daming Temple in Yangzhou
Daming Temple is located at No. 8 Pingshan Hall East Road, Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City. The temple is famous far and wide because the monk Jianzhen once preached and transmitted precepts here. It is a landmark attraction in Yangzhou, revered by both monks and laypeople, and holds high prestige in the Buddhist community. It enjoys the reputation of 'Jianghuai's Spiritual Leader' and is always bustling with worshippers who come from afar.
The entire Daming Temple is divided into three parts: the central part is the main temple architecture, the eastern part is the Qiling Pagoda, and the western part is the garden-style backyard—Xiyuan. Pingshan Hall within the scenic area is located in the 'Immortal's Former Residence' to the west of the Daming Temple's Mahavira Hall. It was built by the Northern Song Dynasty literary figure Ouyang Xiu during his tenure as the governor of Yangzhou, consisting of Pingshan Hall, Gulin Hall, and Ouyang Shrine, arranged from south to north. The Qiling Pagoda has nine levels and is majestic, towering into the clouds. It was initially built in the first year of the Sui Renshou era (601), and Tang Dynasty poets such as Li Bai, Gao Shi, Liu Changqing, Jiang Huan, Chen Run, Liu Yuxi, and Bai Juyi have all ascended it.
Opening hours: 8:00-17:00,
Ticket price: 30 yuan/person,
Bus: Yangzhou bus routes 5, 25, and the tourist special line.
Accommodation: Nearby hotel accommodations are not expensive, with international brand hotels like Ramada costing just over 300.
Cuisine: Yangzhou fried rice is an essential local delicacy, and the finely cut tofu soup is also highly recommended for its top-notch knife skills and endless deliciousness.

What is it like to live in a scenic area in Yangzhou?
Staying in hotels while traveling is something we are all familiar with, but living directly in a scenic area is an experience I believe few people have had.
This time, when I went to Yangzhou, my best friend and I booked the Fuhui Jingshe, located in the Daming Temple scenic area, and got it all in one step!
🌸 The hotel is right at the entrance of Daming Temple. Turn left out of the door, and you can enter Daming Temple.
There is a shuttle bus from the parking lot of Jianzhen College to the hotel entrance, which is very convenient. However, the scenery along the way is so beautiful that taking a walk is also a great experience.
🌸 The hotel has obvious advantages being in the scenic area, with beautiful views from the window, flowers, trees, and a lake. You wake up to the sound of birds and the fragrance of flowers, and at night, there are stars twinkling. We stayed in a pagoda-view room, where we could see the illuminated Qiling Pagoda at night.
🌸 The front desk prepared white tea and a fruit plate for our room, and there was a Hanfu experience in the lobby. The lady at the front desk patiently taught us how to wear Hanfu.
After changing into Hanfu with my best friend, we first experienced sutra copying in the courtyard, and then went to take beautiful photos in the scenic area!
The front desk sells tickets for Daming Temple, and tickets for Slender West Lake can also be purchased. You can wear Hanfu directly out and just return it before checking out, which is super user-friendly.

Daming Temple in Yangzhou
You haven't truly been to Yangzhou unless you've visited Daming Temple. Upon arriving in Yangzhou, we first make our way to Daming Temple, this ancient monastery stands quietly and unassumingly in the northwest suburbs. Following the long pathway, we ascend to the entrance, where the scenery of Daming Temple is pleasant and the architecture is simple. Although it lacks the imagined splendor of golden rooftops, it still possesses a cultural heritage that spans a thousand years.

Praise for Yangzhou
Returning from Yangzhou, I no longer gaze upon the lakes,
Simply because the West Lake in Yangzhou pales in comparison.
The spring breeze paints a picture over ten miles of clouds,
While the fireworks in March weave a tapestry of brocade.
Let's listen to how the ancients praised Yangzhou:
The world's moonlit nights are divided into three parts,
Two of which, shamelessly, belong to Yangzhou.
It means that out of the world's moonlight splendor, Yangzhou occupies two parts...
A decade passes in a dream of Yangzhou...
The spring breeze flows for ten miles along Yangzhou's roads...
Descending upon Yangzhou in the fireworks-filled March...
In life, one only wishes to reside in Yangzhou...
Glancing back at the willows, one reminisces about Yangzhou...
Su Shi said: Among all my companions in the south, who is like me, drunk on Yangzhou?
Xin Qiji stated:
In the distance, I still recall, the beacon fires on the roads to Yangzhou.
Du Mu said: Whose home is singing the water tune, with the full moon over Yangzhou?
A Tang poet said: One should only wish to die in Yangzhou, for the scenic beauty of Chan Zhi Mountain makes a fine burial ground.
A Song poet said: Amidst the noisy feast with music and song, through the curtains and lantern lights, the scenery resembles Yangzhou.

Yangzhou Travel Guide
This month, I must make a trip to Yangzhou. The itinerary is as follows: On the first day, visit Daming Temple, Slender West Lake, Ge Garden, Dongguan Street, Caiyi Street, and Wenchang Pavilion.
Daming Temple, named after the Daming era of Emperor Xiaowu of the Southern Song Dynasty, has a history of over 1500 years and is the foremost of the eight famous temples in Yangzhou. It is located at No. 8 East Road of Ping Shan Tang in Shugang, Xingjiang District, with an admission fee of 45 yuan (an additional 26 yuan is required for climbing the Qiling Pagoda).
Slender West Lake, in comparison to the famous West Lake in Hangzhou, appears more 'slender', exuding the delicate charm of a southern Yangtze River lady. Twenty-four Bridge: 'On a bright moonlit night by the Twenty-four Bridge, where does the jade person teach to play the flute?' The bridge is 24 meters long, 2.4 meters wide, with 24 columns and 24 steps. Wuting Bridge: 'One of the most beautiful ancient bridges in China', built during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty, it combines the grandeur of the north with the grace of the south. It is located at No. 28 Dahongqiao Road in Xingjiang District, with a daytime ticket price of 100 yuan and 120 yuan at night. There is also a West Lake cruise, priced at 45 yuan.
Ge Garden, one of the four famous gardens in China, the other three being Suzhou's Humble Administrator's Garden, Beijing's Summer Palace, and Chengde's Mountain Resort. The garden is surrounded by green bamboo, with rockeries in all seasons, presenting a view at every step and fully displaying the beauty of classical gardens. It is located at No. 10 Yanfu East Road in Guangling District, with a ticket price of 50 yuan.
Dongguan Street is a historical witness to the development and evolution of Yangzhou city, with a history of 1200 years, and is known as the most representative historical street in Yangzhou.
Caiyi Street, a must-visit food street, is filled with a strong local atmosphere. Recommended delicacies include Bajie roasted pig's trotters, Lingbao roujiamo, and Hua Jie stinky tofu.
Wenchang Pavilion, as a landmark building of Yangzhou.
On the second day, head to Pishi Street, He Garden, and the Grand Canal Museum.
Pishi Street, named during the Ming and Qing dynasties for the 'Leather Goods Street', is now a street with a literary and fresh style. Here you can find the popular internet-famous background wall that looks good in any photo, as well as the special Biancheng Bookstore that only sells ancient books.
He Garden, also known as 'Jixiao Villa', enjoys the reputation of 'the best garden of the late Qing Dynasty'. Every corner is filled with classical charm. In March, the magnolias in the garden bloom splendidly. It is located at No. 66 Xuningmen Street in Guangling District, with a ticket price of 45 yuan.
The Grand Canal Museum is one of the must-visit destinations in Yangzhou. As a newly built museum, it perfectly integrates technology with cultural relics, modernity with history. It is located at No. 1 Yunbo Road in the Southeast New City of Guangling District, Yangzhou, with free admission (but advance reservation is required, and it is closed on Mondays).
For accommodation, you can choose to stay near Wenchang Pavilion for convenience in travel and sightseeing (prices near Slender West Lake are slightly higher).
For food, Pishi Street offers Duanrong Shaobing, Yangda Yogurt, Memory Fried Shop, Mushroom Hall, Floating Life, Frog Boudoir Secret, Qingmo Research Plant Room, Wu Huo, Juanjuan An, Da You Huoshao, and many other delicacies. On Ankang Road, there are Gaoyou specialty stinky tofu, Ganghui Desserts, Ruanji Roast Duck, Li Guangtou Fried Skewers, and other characteristic snacks.

Strolling through Daming Temple to admire the cherry blossoms
Setting off from the north gate of Slender West Lake, it's a quick journey to Daming Temple, the foremost temple in Eastern Huai.
The incense burns brightly, and the devout come to pray. Pay homage to Master Jianzhen, gaze upon the Qiling Pagoda, and take a look at the relics of the Fifth Spring in the world. Have a pleasant time.
Leaving Daming Temple and heading north, you'll reach the bustling Jianzhen Avenue, where white cherry blossoms bloom in abundance, beautiful and fragrant. It's a stroke of 'cherry' good fortune.
In March, the cherry blossoms are in bloom; Yangzhou is really fun to visit.

The Millennium Ancient Temple | Daming Temple in Yangzhou
Daming Temple, located on the middle peak of Shugang in the northwest suburbs of Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, was named for its initial construction during the Daming years of Emperor Xiaowu of the Southern Song Dynasty (457-464 AD). Over the past 1500 years, the temple's name has undergone many changes, and the temple we see now was built during the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty. During the Tang Dynasty, when Master Jianzhen served as the abbot of Daming Temple, he traveled to Japan to teach Buddhist scriptures and Chinese culture, making Daming Temple an important ancient temple in the history of Sino-Japanese Buddhist and cultural relations.
The Daming Temple is divided into three parts: the central part is the main temple architecture, the eastern part is the Qiling Pagoda, and the western part is the garden-style backyard. The main temple buildings in the central area of the scenic spot are divided into three routes running from south to north. Along the central axis from south to north are the archway, the mountain gate, and the Mahavira Hall. The western route mainly features Ouyang Xiu; to the south is the Pingshan Hall built by Ouyang Xiu when he was the governor of Yangzhou, and to the north is the Gulin Hall built by Su Dongpo when he held the same position. Further north is the Jianzhen Memorial Hall, with the Sutra Depository Tower to its east. The Qiling Pagoda in the eastern part was originally built by Emperor Yang Jian of the Sui Dynasty to celebrate his birthday. The pagoda we see now is a reconstruction of the Sui Dynasty's pagoda, with 9 stories, housing Buddhist relics and a nanmu Buddha pagoda inside. Visitors can climb to the top of the pagoda to overlook the entire Daming Temple and gaze into the distance at the Slender West Lake.
The Jianzhen Memorial Hall is the most important building in Daming Temple. Jianzhen traveled to Japan six times, bringing Chinese Buddhism and culture to Japan. He presided over the construction of the Toshodai-ji in Nara, Japan, and eventually passed away there. The Jianzhen Memorial Hall was built to mimic the style of Toshodai-ji.

Built by Ouyang Xiu when he was the governor of Yangzhou, it offers a panoramic view of the mountains to the south of the Yangtze River, which are level with the line of sight, hence the name 'Pingshan Hall'.
4. The Fifth Spring
According to the 'Tea Water Record' by Tang dynasty's Zhang Youxin, the spring water here was rated as the fifth best in the world at that time. Song dynasty's Ouyang Xiu mentioned in 'Record of the Spring Water of Daming Temple': 'This well is the beauty of waters.'

Daming Temple
It is recommended to visit Yangzhou at the end of March. Although it's a bit early and the scenery is not at its best, the advantage is that there are fewer people. By April, I guess you can only see crowds . Daming Temple on a sunny day is well worth a visit. Climbing the Qiqi Ling Pagoda to look afar, the whole Slender West Lake is in sight. Next time, I should bring binoculars. The 26 yuan ticket is very worthwhile, but the staff at the entrance of the 8th floor did not allow us to see the Buddhist relics, saying that the 8th floor is for worshipping Buddha and you can't visit if you don't worship, which is a bit regrettable. I especially liked the wind chimes at the Jietan Courtyard 🎐, their tinkling sound paired with Buddhist music is very pleasant to hear. There are two black swans in the pond next to the Fifth Spring. When called from the shore, I didn't expect them to actually swim over and peck at my feet, indicating they wanted food , which was too adorable. I think Daming Temple is well worth a visit.

Yangzhou | After the snow, the Daming Temple is as stunning as a fairyland at a glance
Everyone says that the fireworks in March go down to Yangzhou, but although the spring flowers are there every year, the spring snow is a rare encounter!
Fortunately, at the end of February, I witnessed the snow flying all over the sky in Yangzhou, and the Daming Temple after the snow was as beautiful as a fairyland on earth.
▪️ Pingshan Hall: The highest point of Yangzhou, built by Ouyang Xiu when he served as the prefect of Yangzhou. It is called 'Pingshan Hall' because when leaning on the railing, the mountains of the south of the Yangtze River are all at eye level. Now is the perfect time to come as the plum blossoms are in full bloom, and the plum blossoms after the snow are extremely delicate and beautiful!
▪️ Ouyang Shrine: It is a part of Pingshan Hall, built to commemorate Ouyang Xiu. Inside there is a portrait of Ouyang Xiu that looks kindly at us from any angle, very worth appreciating.
▪️ Qiling Pagoda: A 9-story high tower, originally built during the Sui Dynasty, rebuilt in the 1990s. The seventh and eighth floors are open to the public, with an elevator going directly to the seventh floor, from which you can overlook the Slender West Lake and the old city area of Yangzhou, with an unbeatable view!
The eighth floor enshrines the Buddhist relics of Sakyamuni, which is also the only place in the country where the Buddhist relics are open to the public for viewing.
▪️ Jianzhen Memorial Hall: Master Jianzhen was the abbot of Daming Temple before he went to Japan. The Jianzhen Memorial Hall was designed and built by Mr. Liang Sicheng in the style of the Tang Dynasty Todai-ji Temple in Nara, Japan, and also has profound significance in architecture!
▪️ Daxiong Baodian: It is actually the main hall when entering the Daming Temple. It is said to be very efficacious, so the incense is also very strong, and there are Dharma services on major days like the fifteenth day of the New Year.
👣 Surroundings: Not far from Daming Temple, I highly recommend going to Guanyin Mountain for a visit. The mountain and the temple are integrated, with winding paths leading to secluded spots, yellow walls and black tiles, and the courtyard walls meandering along the mountain terrain, making for excellent photo opportunities!
📍 Address: No. 8 East Pingshan Hall Road
🎫 Ticket: 45 yuan, 26 yuan for climbing Qiling Pagoda, Guanyin Mountain is free

Autumn tour to Daming Temple
Daming Temple, located in the northwest suburb of Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, has been approved by the State Council to be included in the list of the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Daming Temple, named for its initial construction during the Daming period of Emperor Xiaowu of the Southern Dynasty (457-464). Over the past 1500 years, the name of the temple has changed many times, such as 'Qiling Temple', 'West Temple' in the Sui Dynasty, and 'Chengping' in the late Tang Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, due to the taboo of the two characters 'Daming', it was once called 'Qiling Temple', and in the 30th year of Qianlong, the emperor personally inscribed the title 'Chiji Fajing Temple'. In 1980, Daming Temple was restored to its original name. In 2002, it was rated as a national AAAA level scenic spot.

Not only in the fireworks of March, but now is also a good time to visit Yangzhou
Daming Temple is north of Slender West Lake, and it is only 600-700 meters from the north gate of Slender West Lake to Daming Temple, about a 10-minute walk. Daming Temple has a history of more than 1,500 years, and Master Jianzhen was once the abbot here. The two ancient ginkgo trees inside the temple gate are tall and straight. Whenever the leaves fall, the ground is golden, and you can ascend the steps to see a Zen autumn scene that is particularly easy to capture on film.
If you come to Yangzhou for the first time, you must try the morning tea. Whether it is as delicious as you imagined is not important. Since you are here, you should experience the Yangzhou style of 'skin wrapped in water in the morning, and water wrapped in skin at night'. The newer place is Quyuan, which is very popular. The old brands include Yechun, Fuchun, and Jinchun. If you live not far from the Lotus Pond, try the Lotus Pond branch of Yechun, the environment is good - the shop is on the island in the middle of the lake, connected to the land by a long embankment and a small bridge.
It takes about 2-3 hours to visit the entire Daming Temple.

Daming Temple in Yangzhou, where Monk Jianzhen once served as the abbot
The Daming Temple, with its strong Tang Dynasty style, was once presided over by the famous Monk Jianzhen! It is said to be very efficacious here! No wonder there are so many people coming to burn incense and pray for blessings. In the autumn, the Daming Temple is filled with autumnal atmosphere, which makes the ancient temple of a thousand years more Zen-like and distant. ❤️When you come to Daming Temple, there are four recommended experiences! 1. Qiling Tower: This is the only place in the country that opens every day for close-up viewing and worship of relics. The tower has nine floors symbolizing imperial power. Although there is a charge, there is an elevator! Standing on the seventh floor of the tower, you can overlook the entire western area of Yangzhou, including Slender West Lake and Hanling Garden. The view is excellent! 2. Jianzhen Memorial Hall: Monk Jianzhen set out from Yangzhou to Japan to spread Chinese culture. The designer of the Jianzhen Memorial Hall is the architect Mr. Liang Sicheng. Because it is designed in the style of the Tang Dynasty's Todaiji Temple in Nara, Japan, the style is very Japanese. There is also a stone lantern given by the abbot of Todaiji Temple in the courtyard. 3. Ouyang Temple: This temple was built by Ouyang Xiu when he was the governor of Yangzhou. Because Su Shi often came here when he was the governor of Yangzhou, in addition to the statue of Ouyang Xiu, there is also a rubbing of Su Shi's 'Old Drunkard's Pavilion'. 4. Cat stroking in the temple: The cats in the temple are very cute. Take a leisurely stroll in the temple, calm and relaxed, and enjoy the leisurely slow time in Yangzhou by stroking the cats.

Daming Temple located located at the middle peak of Shugang Mountain, Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China.
I recommend a visit to the Daming Temple. It is a beautiful building with stunning views from the top.

Standing on a high place to see the scenery inside the temple, it is even more unique, the temple is a lake, and the loyalty of the lake has a small island, this Tiangong is only one of the Daming Temple. I am afraid that the temples that run all over the country can't see the beautiful scenery like Daming Temple. The reason why Daming Temple is famous both at home and abroad is its important reason, but one of the more important reasons is that there is a great virtue in this place. He is the Jianzheng monk in the Tang Dynasty. Jianzheng monk once preached the law in the Daming Temple, and was famous for his singularity. He had a high prestige and enjoyed the reputation of Jianghuai Lord. In the second day of Tang Tianbao, the master of the Da Ming Temple, Gao Zhenjian, was invited by the Japanese monks Rong Rui and Pu Zhao to promote the Dharma for the first time. After ten years of hardship, it has failed five times. It ended in Tang Tianbao for 12 years, which is the success of the Japanese balance of Shengbao. In the Japanese spread of Buddhist commandments, the creation of temple Buddha statues, the promotion of painting and calligraphy techniques, the promotion of medical diet, and the promotion of the Tang Dynasty culture, the Japanese people were regarded as "cultural benefactors" by the Japanese people. In the three years of the Japanese Tianping Baozi, Jianzhengs disciples, Pu Zhao and Si Tuo, built Tang Zhaoti Temple in Nara, and moved from Dongda Temple. For a long time, the Buddhas light shines, and it becomes the ancestral home of the Japanese law, and Jianzhen is also known as the Fuzu Lawyers. Master Jianzhen is a shining example of preaching the Fa, and is a friendly messenger of the Chinese people. He is a rare and outstanding figure in the history of Chinese Buddhism and the greatest glory and pride of Daming Temple.

In the first year of Emperor Renrens reign, Emperor Yang Jians sixty-sixth birthday, he ordered thirty towers in 30 states to offer relics. One of them was built in Daming Temple, called Hailing Tower, and the temple was named from the tower. "Da Ming Temple" is also known as "Hailing Temple", and because Daming Temple is in the west of Tang Palace and Tang City, it is also called "West Temple". Just entering the temple, you can see the towering stupa. The stupa has a total of 9 floors and the spire is top. The general tower temples are round towers, and the towers here are unique. Only the square tower that visitors can see here. And on the lower wall of the tower, there will be stone inscriptions in the early years of the tower. Now, in order to get better protection, the monks in the temple are separated by glass. Going to the Pingshan Hall in the temple, the quaint buildings in the hall are well preserved, the quaint lanterns and the quaint plaques, the visitors who just entered the hall will also have a heavy sense of history. Inside the temple, there are beautifully carved magnets and Buddha statues. The Buddha statues all show the beauty of Buddhism. Visitors here can not only enjoy the fragrance but also the unique Buddha statue.

The Buddha is in the forefront of Daming, and Daming is only in my heart. In the heart of everyone, the tower of the spirits is well repaired. Located in the northwest suburb of Yangzhou City, the Daming Temple is a cold winter, but the Daming Temple is still full of incense and fragrant mist.
Standing on a high place to see the scenery inside the temple, it is even more unique. The temple is surrounded by lakes, and there is a small island in the center of the lake. This Tiangong is only one of the Daming Temples. I am afraid that the temples that run all over the country can't see the beautiful scenery like Daming Temple.

Daming Temple is located in the north of Yangzhou City, and it takes only 10 minutes to walk from the north gate of Slender West Lake. It was built in the Southern Dynasties Song Xiaowu Emperor University next year, hence the name Daming Temple.
Da Ming Temple has a long history. It has a history of 1,500 years and the name of the temple has changed several times. The Tang Dynasty Jianzheng monk passed the precepts here before crossing the country. The archway in front of the temple is very majestic.
The fifth spring in the west of the temple shows that the spring water quality is very good. It was already late in the afternoon when I came in. Many tourists have already left.
The western part of the temple is a garden with a beautiful environment. There is Pingshan Hall built by Ouyang Xiu. Entering the gate is the Daxiong Hall, which is the place where the monks gather. When the afternoon is about to leave, the monks of the whole temple are doing things in the Daxiong Hall.
Go straight to the West Park, where the roadside is also full of flowers, very clean.
The garden is completely designed by the garden. There is a lake in the middle, and there are rockeries and green trees around the lake. The small pavilion by the lake is very antique and very quiet. There are very few tourists coming here. If you come to Daming Temple, it is recommended to stay in Xiyuan for a while.
is also the way to enter the temple, which is designed like a garden. The
Jianzhen Memorial Hall is unique in Daming Temple. It adopts the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty. Although it is not gorgeous, it is also simple and generous. The Jianzheng monk statue in the memorial hall was copied in Japan.

Looking north from the Yangzhou Slender West Lake Park, you can see a towering tower. This is Daming Temple. Daming Temple can be said to be one of the most famous temples in Yangzhou. First, because of its long history, it was built in the Southern Song Dynasty. Emperor Xiaowu of the Southern Song Dynasty has more than 1,500 years of history. Second, there is a very famous abbot in the history of Daming Temple. Jianzheng monk.
Da Ming Temple is not far from the north gate of Slender West Lake. It takes only about ten minutes to walk. In the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed as "Qingling Temple" because of "anti-Qing Fuming". In the 30th year of Qianlong's emperor's personal title "Fajing Temple", the name "Da Ming Temple" was eventually deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
There are Daming Temple first, followed by the Qiling Tower. In the first year of Sui Dynasty Renshou (601), Emperor Yang Jian celebrated his birthday, and built 30 towers in the country to support the Buddha's bones. Yangzhou Daming Temple built the Herling Tower. The tower is nine stories high and magnificent.
Into the temple, I found out that this temple is actually a garden. When the Northern Song Dynasty Ouyang Xiu was in Yangzhou Taishou, he built Pingshan Hall in Daming Temple. The front of the church was covered with flowers and trees, and the courtyard was quiet. The mountains overlooked the mountains in the south of the Yangtze River. It was just like the line of sight. "The mountains come to be flat with this temple", so it is called "Pingshan Hall".
Qingkang Qianshengshi, the expansion of Daming Temple is the first of the eight famous temples in Yangzhou. In the 30th year of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1765), Qianlong cruised Yangzhou and changed the title of "Fajing Temple."
