Dahongshan is only a 2.5-hour drive from Wuhan, so it is very nice to spend a weekend here. At the foot of Dahong Mountain, there is an ancient ginkgo tree that is nearly three thousand years old. Almost everyone who goes to Dahong Mountain will come under the tree. Every autumn, it attracts countless tourists and believers to worship. This Chinese Imperial Apricot is known as the "Tree King" of Dahong Mountain. It was planted by Emperor Guangwu Liu Xiu and his queen Yin Lihua themselves, praying for the people of the world, wishing peace and prosperity for the country and away from the suffering of war and turmoil. This tree has deep roots, wide trunks, and luxuriant branches and leaves. It takes seven people to barely hold it together. Therefore, no one has destroyed even a branch or leaf of it for thousands of years. This ancient ginkgo tree is male and does not bear fruit. But around the ancient ginkgo tree, there are five female ginkgo trees that are over a hundred years old, bearing fruit all year round. They are known as the "Five Women in Training", which is a great spectacle.
