The Royal Temple - Dahai Temple.
Dahai Temple is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Jingcheng Road and National Highway 310 in Xingyang City, Henan Province. It is a dojo of Guanyin Bodhisattva and the only royal temple in the country named "Dahai". The temple was founded in the early Northern Wei Dynasty and was originally named Daihai Temple. It is said that Guanyin went north to ferry people. After moving to Xingyang, the Xingyang moat began to rise and fall with the tide of the sea, so the temple was also named Daihai Temple. During the Sui Dynasty, Li Yuan was the governor of Xingyang County. His son Li Shimin suffered from eye diseases. He sought famous doctors everywhere but it was ineffective. He was cured immediately after seeking the Buddha in Dahai Temple. After Li Shimin ascended the throne, he ordered the general Yuchi Gong to expand the temple. It was 20 miles long from east to west and 18 miles wide from north to south. The scale was like the sea, so it was named Dahai Temple.
