Daguan Tower was originally named Qiao Tower. It is located at the intersection of West Street in Yibin City. It was built in the Ming Dynasty (there is also a saying that it was built by Wei Gao in the Tang Dynasty). The three-story building is built on a stone platform, with a total height of 27.7 meters and an area of 650 square meters. The plain platform is square in plan, 31.6 meters long, 20.4 meters wide and 5.45 meters high. There is an arched door in the middle of the square, which is a passage inside, forming a "cross" space. It is one of the intersections of the east, west, south and north streets in the ancient city. The building has a three-layer eaves on the top of the mountain, with flying wing corners. There is a small attic-style tower in the middle of the ridge, with beasts on both sides, the ridge end is straight and the vertical ridge is squatting. Ruyi brackets are installed under the eaves. There is a secondary step corridor outside the eaves columns on the first floor. The horizontal column grid adopts the structure of reducing columns, and only the corner columns are shifted. The distance between the columns is shortened layer by layer, and the vertical columns are shifted. The distance between the columns is gradually shortened with each layer. Under the east eaves of the third floor of the building, there is a plaque inscribed with "Daguan Tower" by Ji Xuanming, a calligrapher from Zhongzhou in the Qing Dynasty, hence the name. On the west side, there are plaques inscribed with "Southwest Half Wall" by Gu Ruxiu, a calligrapher from the Qing Dynasty. The calligraphy on the two plaques is strong, vigorous, eye-catching, and famous in ancient and modern times. The whole building is magnificent, spacious and spectacular.
