Today, I visited one of the busier areas in Yibin, the Daguanlou commercial district. After getting off the bus, I saw an old building standing in the middle of the road, named Daguanlou. According to my research, it dates back to the Qing Dynasty. However, it looks a bit out of place surrounded by tall buildings. This area is quite lively and is considered a commercial district. In the evening, the streets are closed off for a night market, giving it a vibrant atmosphere. I chose a skewer shop to try some grilled skewers, and they tasted pretty good. I noticed that people here seem to love drinking Zhenjingguo. The owner recommended it to us, so we gave it a try. It was quite good, with a slightly sweet taste. After eating and drinking our fill, we couldn't resist having some liangfen and lianggao to end the day on a perfect note, especially since we are in Sichuan! Also known as the Qiaolou, Sichuan Daguan Tower is located at No. 2, West Street, Cuiping District, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is a landmark building in the river city of Yibin. The following is a tourist introduction to Daguan Tower: - Historical evolution: Daguan Tower was first built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty and was later destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt in the 20th year of the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1765) and is a landmark building in Yibin City, as well as a national key cultural relics protection unit. - Architectural style: Daguan Tower faces west and is 28 meters high, 31.6 meters long, and 20.4 meters wide. It is rectangular and covers an area of 654 square meters. The bottom floor is a high stone platform, 5.45 meters high, divided into four arched pot doors in the middle, connected by cross-shaped passages. The stone platform is 25.5 meters wide from north to south, with a door width of 3.5 meters, 22 meters wide from east to west, with a double-eaved mountain top with raised beams and wooden structures, covered with gray glazed tiles.
