#chinatransit Dafo Temple in Guangzhou is a beautiful and peaceful Buddhist temple. It has stunning architecture, colorful decorations, and a big statue of Buddha. Inside the temple, you can see intricate carvings, paintings, and ornate details. I felt calm and respectful walking around the temple because it's so serene and spiritual. I liked seeing the monks praying and chanting, and the smell of incense filled the air. The gardens are also beautiful, with lotus ponds and walking paths. As I explored the temple, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility wash over me. It's a great place to learn about Buddhism, relax, and unwind.

Dafo Temple is a holy place for blessing and meditation that you cannot miss. There are not only ancient Buddha statues here, but also the power to calm people's hearts. 🙏 Here they follow Mahayana Buddhism, but this temple has made so many connections with Sri Lankan Buddhist temples and other Theravada Buddhist institutes. ✍️ Also here, you can experience Sutra copying Opening hours: 10:00-20:00, admission until 19:00. In the old town of Yuexiu, Guangzhou, the Great Buddha Temple and the Sacred Heart Cathedral stand as sanctuaries amidst the hustle and bustle, and are well worth a visit. The Great Buddha Temple is located near the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. It was originally built during the Southern Han Dynasty (AD 917-971), and in the second year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, the King of Pingnan donated his salary to rebuild the temple in the style of the official temples in the capital, incorporating the local Lingnan style. The temple is named for the three large Buddha statues enshrined in its main hall, which led to the saying, 'People pass by the Great Buddha Temple, where the temple's Buddha is larger than the people.' The grandeur of the temple and the size of the Buddha statues are renowned in the Lingnan region. The Sacred Heart Cathedral, also known as the Stone House, is the largest church of the Catholic Archdiocese of Guangzhou, one of the most magnificent twin-spired Gothic buildings in China, and one of only four all-stone Gothic church structures in the world, alongside Notre-Dame de Paris, Westminster Abbey, and Cologne Cathedral. The Sacred Heart Cathedral held its foundation stone laying ceremony on June 18, 1863, the feast day of the Sacred Heart, hence its name.
