Daeheungsa Temple, a World Heritage Site at the End of the Earth
I would like to introduce you to the world cultural heritage temple located in Haenam Land's End Village! It is 'Daeheungsa Temple'.
The temple is structured in the shape of a Buddha lying down, and the stream flowing through the middle is divided! What was most unique was that the Daeungjeon, which serves as the central temple, was located in a relatively lower location!
In addition, it was a place where monk soldiers were active during the Imjin War, and there was a shrine in the middle of the temple that contained the values of Confucianism at the time, which gave it a sense of incongruity!
It is famous as a museum that stores the temple's relics and as a place to see autumn foliage in the coming fall, so I recommend visiting if you live nearby!
