The beach’s atmosphere is absolutely peaceful, it is not a touristic destination on the island. If you love snorkelling this place is wonderful. It has great coral reefs and marine life. It is very easy to see turtles and if you are lucky enough you might see manta rays. The only drawback in Crystal Bay is that it is not well maintained, and the shore is full of garbage. It is a pity because it could be the perfect paradise. Apart from that, Crystal Bay has a few local beach bars selling snacks, drinks and Indonesian food. If you consume something from the bar you can use the chairs and tables for free which is very convenient. One of the highlights in Crystal Bay are the sunsets. Crystal Bay is a gorgeous beach on the west coast of Nusa Penida, an island about a 45 minute fastboat ride from Bali's main island. It features a roughly 200m long stretch of grey and white sand, with a small but prominent islet jutting out from the waters, right in the middle. Crystal Bay is quite small compared to most beaches, and is rather secluded too. Apart from suntanning and swimming, there are many things to do here. One can rent snorkelling equipment, which is highly recommended as the bay is known to be a chilling spot for manta rays! There are also opportunities to jet ski and canoe, among other water activities. There are many eateries right on the sand, so don't worry if you start feeling hungry. I suggest coming earlier in the day and spending a few hours here. The water is quite shallow for a distance, so it is great to swim there! Tips for visiting Crystal Bay: 1. There are various companies/timings, but a majority depart at 0730/0830 and return at 1530/1630. Ticket Info & Cost: IDR150.000 per person/one way. The price will vary if you book a tour package. Most travellers either book tickets through their drivers, or show up at the harbour and buy directly at the counters. Tourist fee is IDR25.000 adults and IDR15.000 children. Experience: Sanur Harbour was opened this year, so it's comfortable. The fastboat ride was fine. However, arriving at Nusa Penida will require you to walk through sand/water up the beach. . West of Nusa Penida Day Tour Stop 4 📍 Crystal Bay 📸 06 Nov, 2023 The last stop was Crystal Bay, which was an easy place to reach, at least you didn’t have to climb stairs or go down the cliff. I guess every tour group will come here as their last stop, probably because most Western tourists also like to go to the beach. The sand and water in Crystal Bay are also very beautiful, and you can see many small fish if you dive into the water in a not-too-deep place. But probably because of the impact of the previous few stops, and because everyone’s last stop was here, there were a lot of people and it was a bit crowded. To be honest, there was a sense of disappointment. If your tour itinerary includes a visit here and you want to have some fun, remember to bring your swimsuit and towel before you leave. In addition, as mentioned before, all facilities on the island are charged, including the changing rooms and toilets, so bring some small change with you. It is recommended to join a tour group when visiting this island: ☀️ Unless you are an off-road expert, self-driving is not recommended. The width of the road is just enough for a 7-seater car. There are many bends and ups and downs along the way. The road is bumpy. I really admire the drivers who drive there. ☀️ All attractions and facilities on the island are charged. The cost of attractions is usually included in the tour. It is good to have local people to help or remind you of precautions when entering the attractions. ☀️ There are not many trees on the island, and the roads are exposed to direct sunlight, so it is not recommended to take a motorcycle UBER after arriving on the island. Small group tours can be accommodated in air-conditioned and covered vehicles. ☀️ The driver will usually help you take photos and videos, so you don’t have to worry about no one to help take photos or not being able to take a good photo. ☀️ The boat runs very slowly, and it is reassuring to have a professional driver to help you plan your trip without worrying about missing the boat. Finally, I highly recommend everyone to visit this island. Even if you are standing there and looking at each attraction, it seems unreal. Sunset is around 18:15 local time. Arriving 30 minutes before is ideal. ⭐ Highlights - This is a great location to watch the sunset and the beach clears out after 16:00 when visitors on day trips head back to the harbour. There are lots of food stalls for drinks, snacks and sun loungers that you can rent. The beach has great coral reef for snorkeling. Nusa Penida Island, Indonesia [Crystal Bay Nusa Penida] Location: 6P3Q7FM5+WJ There is no nice restaurant, but there is a space on the beach where you can eat snacks. I took a break and drank coconut juice. The grilled corn was also delicious. There are plenty of parasols, so you can take a relaxing rest. #wecreate #nusapenida One of the few beaches where the waves and currents are not so strong so you are able to swim there. But too crowded with tourists and too polluted. Water was certainly not crystal, but seemed rather muddy (possibly from all the people...) and sometimes very rocky - better to wear shoes. During our stay at Nusa Penida I enjoyed this beach the least.

Crystal Bay is just magical. A iridescent blue water bay surrounded by islands and white sands..a fresh water stream runs into the ocean, it’s cold and crystal clear. There are warungs here that cook a great meal,cheap and delicious! #wintergetaway #wintergetaway
