The hotel we stayed at this time was Crowne Plaza Macau, which is located in the Areia Preta area of Macau. Compared to the main tourist areas, this area is much quieter. On weekdays, the price including tax is less than $1,000, which is very cost-effective by the standards of Macau star hotels.
The hotel is relatively close to the Border Gate. If you arrive from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port, you can take bus No. 101X for $6 and arrive at the first stop. This mode of transportation is also recommended.
The hotel does not have a casino, but instead it is safe and quiet; when you walk into the lobby there is no noise, but instead you get a holiday atmosphere, which is completely different from the lobby of Macau casino hotels. The hotel lobby has a lot of natural light. Free drinks are available in a corner of the lobby, including iced lemonade and lemon tea, which are very suitable for hot and humid weather.
I stayed in the cheapest superior room, which is about 32 square meters. I thought it was a city (building) view, but it turned out that I could see the South China Sea. The South China Sea view outside the window, opposite Zhuhai, and the windowsill next to the small sofa has cushions, so guests can lie on the windowsill and watch the sea. The room window also has a view of the swimming pool of the luxury house next to it, which is quite artistic. I feel that the room facilities are quite textured.
The bed is a King Size bed that is very comfortable to sleep in. There is a light and temperature regulator at the head of the bed. The alarm clock is also a Bluetooth speaker that can be connected to personal devices to play music. In addition, it doesn’t matter if you forget to bring a plug, because there is a USB charging port on the other side of the bed, which can connect up to five devices at the same time. It is very considerate.
The marble bathroom in the room is very comfortable and beautiful, with a strong sense of space. It is equipped with a large bathtub and a popular mirror. It is practical and easy to check in. There is a bathtub and a standing bathtub, and personal hygiene supplies are provided. In addition to the bathroom door, the door next to the bathtub can also be opened, so you can watch TV while taking a bath. The bathroom also has speakers connected to the TV, so you don't have to worry about not being able to hear clearly.
The facilities include a 24-hour fitness room and an indoor heated swimming pool, with the water temperature maintained at a comfortable 28 degrees. Both the fitness room and the swimming pool have views of the South China Sea.
In general, the hotel itself is quiet and the rooms are high-quality. If you don't care about whether there is a shuttle bus to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal or Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, it will not have much impact. Opposite the hotel there is a tea restaurant, a cafe, the famous Jinfeng Tea House, and a supermarket. It has excellent living functions and the price-performance ratio is very good at this price!
