It's a super large garden hotel
But it's a bit scary to go out at night
Because when you walk out of the guest room, some lights are not on until you get to a certain intersection, and there will be a corridor that is completely dark
The garden is so big that it doesn't turn on the lights at night, so you can't see the end when you go out
The breakfast service is average, with only one waiter in a daze
Overall, it's not as good as expected, but it's good value for money.

I have stayed at this budget hotel five times during my five visits to Liuzhou
Location:
Although Sanjiang County is part of Liuzhou, it is actually closer to Guilin. It takes three and a half hours to get there by high-speed train from Nanning.
✅The hotel itself is very conveniently located, only a ten-minute drive from both the high-speed train station and the county town. It takes about half an hour by taxi to reach the main scenic area (Chengyang Bazhai).
Service:
✅The perfect experience starts as soon as you enter the hotel. During check-in, the front desk will give a very detailed introduction to the hotel facilities, then someone will lead you to your room and introduce the room's features. They proactively offer turndown service in the evening, and everything is impeccable. Honestly, the service quality I experienced at the Sanjiang Courtyard by Marriott is far better than most Marriott and Sheraton hotels in other places, and it's even comparable to JW.
Room:
⭕️Since it was the busy National Day holiday, it was not possible to upgrade to a suite, but I was upgraded to a room with a better view. From the window, you could see the river and the county town (p1). Except for the lack of a bathtub due to Courtyard's positioning, there is nothing else to fault. The facilities are visibly new, and the decor mainly features warm wood finishes combined with fabric elements with ethnic patterns.
Facilities:
✅The hotel is generally arranged in a cluster layout, and the decoration and interior design of the public spaces are both comfortable and stylish.
✅✅As for the public facilities, I must mention the swimming pool. Without saying much, just look at the pictures. This outdoor pool alone is worth the room price! Moreover, during the National Day holiday, we only encountered one or two other groups of guests at the pool, which just shows that Sanjiang is not really a hot tourist destination (p2-p4).
✅The breakfast is also definitely top-notch, offering local specialties such as oil tea and snail noodles, and the taste is absolutely on par with outside restaurants (p5).
Regarding the price, the basic room is 400+ on weekdays and weekends, and 600+ during holidays... With such cost-performance, whether you are here for tourism or a hotel vacation, it is a great value

The Courtyard by Marriott in Sanjiang, Liuzhou, is definitely worth a special visit, with a design that hits the right notes
The exterior is very distinctive, with a Dong village style architecture, full of holiday vibes. The lobby bar was not open when I visited, making the whole lobby seem a bit deserted and dim.
Room
I redeemed points for a basic room, but was generously upgraded to a suite. The size isn't big but it has everything you need. The room offers a view of the river, but it's not that impressive... What's particularly worth mentioning is the square bathtub in the suite, which is very comfortable, big enough to sit or lie in, and larger than 90% of the bathtubs in hotels I've stayed in. There are two swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, but only the indoor one is open in winter. There's also a children's playground.
Dining
The concierge service is online, and the doormen and CI staff are very enthusiastic. The welcome fruit was thoughtful, with a delicate arrangement and some pastries, cookies, and a serving of Yang Zhi Gan Lu. Early in the morning, the lobby and restaurant are filled with the smell of snail noodles. Besides that, breakfast offers many local specialties, such as rice wine-cooked glutinous rice balls, and a series of local snacks whose names I've forgotten. Overall, the Courtyard by Marriott is up to its usual standard. Particularly impressive was the fresh pumpkin juice served during the meal, which was delicious and warm, and the staff proactively asked about my sleep the previous night and for any suggestions for the hotel. The downside is the absence of an executive lounge, and the welcome amenities follow the strict standards of a resort hotel.
Entertainment
Zhaoxing Dong Village is a bit of a drive from Sanjiang. Although it's very commercialized, it's still great for photos. I recommend going in the afternoon and staying until the evening when the lights come on. Navigate to Zhaoxing Yanlai Furniture for a self-drive; this is the back entrance where you can avoid the shuttle bus (there's a chance they won't check tickets). Don't miss the viewing platform at the main entrance, where you can overlook the entire village from a high vantage point, especially beautiful when the night falls and the lights come on. This route also passes by the Xia Mountain Terraces.
Surroundings
A short walk to Sanjiang Drum Tower & Yue Ye Dong Village, these two are next to each other, separated only by a road. Yue Ye Dong Village is a bird's nest-shaped, highly commercialized theater for sitting sister performances. Sanjiang Drum Tower doesn't require a ticket and is very impressive with its pure wooden structure. You can also visit the Sanjiang Wind and Rain Bridge, which is beautiful. I suggest walking on the bridge. Standing in the middle of the bridge, you can overlook the entire county town, and from the shore, you can see the bridge spanning the Xunjiang River, which is very spectacular. Liuzhou Longtan Park also has a Wind and Rain Bridge, with a red style that is quite different. Other well-known attractions in the area include Chengyang Eight Villages and Xianren Mountain.

The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel is only 10 minutes away from the high-speed rail station, and the weekend price is only 400 plus, it's really Marriott's treatment at Courtyard's price!

There are roadblocks to welcome guests, a hundred families banquet, all very distinctive, the hundred families banquet needs to buy tickets in advance, holding a bowl to different dining tables to pick up dishes, and the locals are serving wine on the side～ There are also local cultural performances, it's really worth staying for a day!
