Coolangatta is located in the southern tip of Queensland, bordering New South Wales, and is a cosy seaside town full of charming colors and fantasy. It has a population of 4,869 and is named after the caravan garage Lungata which was wrecked in 1846. 1. Surfing The Gold Coast is some of the most popular surfing spots in Australia and around the world, with Coolangatta being particularly famous. A Queensland surf lifesaving club has also been established here, and the headlands of the state border can enjoy many stunning coastal views, and the surfing waves are loved by many surfers.
