It's been demolished! We recommend the Yishichang Night Market and Linwang Night Market, which are more suitable for eating and shopping. 4⃣Don’t buy local specialties in scenic spots. The prices of specialty products in the duty-free shops in scenic spots are inflated. If you want to buy good things, it is more practical to go to local small supermarkets, where the prices are reasonable and reliable. 5⃣ Don’t be greedy and choose too many scenic spots, just choose one that is similar in type. Yalong Bay Forest Park, Yanoda, and Binlang Valley are similar attractions. Although is it not crowded and there are fewer people compared to other beaches , it makes for a good location to take photos . There are professional photographers on the beach who also offer to take photos for about 15 or 20 RMB per picture. Swimming is not allowed but you can take a walk down the beach and the beautiful path of coconut trees that line up the beach . There are restaurants and hotels by the road of the beach and it’s convenient to take a bus or taxi to and from the location. You can see the phoenix island and Sanya bay beach from there. Continuing my "56 Ethnic Costumes Challenge" series, I visited the Hilton Garden Inn Sanya to learn pottery making from a Li ethnic group inheritor. As you may know, the Li people are the largest minority group on Hainan Island. I loved the hotel's Hainanese design elements, from the coconut tree backdrop to the fishbone decorations. During the process, I couldn't help but admire the ancient artisans. Without blueprints or standardized tools, they relied on experience and a pursuit of excellence, passing down their art through generations. Coconut carving is an exquisite art form. In-depth Sanya travel guide: Only suitable for vacation, not for sightseeing|||Sanya is really only suitable for vacation, not for sightseeing. I stayed home for five days straight again, it's really not worth going around to check in at various spots. I spend every Chinese New Year in Sanya, so I have a certain understanding of it. It's a cultural desert, without any local characteristics or historical sites, and no museums or the like (I saw a Shanhai Giant Clam Museum nearby, wanted to go but was too lazy to go out, so I haven't been there). It's a food desert, the specialties are coconut chicken (good), fermented vinegar hot pot (sour hot pot, you can try it), Qingbuliang (not as good as Cantonese desserts in my opinion), and Baoluo rice noodles (I personally don't like it). Recently, vanilla duck suddenly became popular. I haven't heard of it before, so I don't know how it tastes. The only thing worth visiting in Sanya is the seaside. You can check out West Island/Wuzhizhou Island, Sun Bay, and Xiaodonghai (there are quite a few pebbles on the beach). If you want to surf, you can go to Houhai (don't go if you're not surfing, it's dirty and messy). Half-Hill Peninsula Sailing Port is also worth a visit and taking some photos. Visit Nanshan Temple to see the South Sea Guanyin. I recommend a less-known small park ~ Xiaozhou Island Re-greening Park. It's small but has access to the seaside, a beach, and very few people! Inside, you can see a bunch of yachts and water sports, and the water is quite blue. Dadonghai/Coconut Dream Corridor (free beach, but every time I go there are so many people, the beach is full of Russians with big bellies). I personally think it's average (but you can go for a walk). Tianya Haijiao (a stone inscribed with "Tianya Haijiao" 😅). Linchun Ridge, Luhuitou Park, Tianya Town, Fenghuang Ridge (nothing special, just for a walk). Small and Big Cave Heavens (a popular spot for photos, indeed beautiful, but there's no way to queue up for photos, and the inside is just average).
