Enjoy a Feast of Hotel Delicacies
The Clipper Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has reopened after renovations! At Clipper Lounge, you can savor a variety of signature dishes from the hotel's renowned restaurants, including curry from The Chinnery, grilled delicacies from Mandarin Grill + Bar, and signature dishes from Café Causette. It's truly enticing!
As you step into the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a dazzling array of delicacies. First up are various house-made breads 🥖🍞🥐 served with butter and jam.
Next is a selection of seafood, including tender and sweet lobster claws, Boston lobster 🦞, king crab, local abalone, bread crab 🦀, scallops, French blue mussels, New Zealand green-lipped mussels, sea snails, and shrimp 🦐. In the first month of reopening, there will be French oysters, and in October, hairy crabs will be introduced. Seafood lovers can't miss this.
Appetizers include pre-mixed salads and fresh salad greens 🥗. Nearby, you'll find salmon, tuna, sweet shrimp, sea bream, and yellowtail sashimi, along with rolls and sushi.
Additionally, the newly introduced Parmesan cheese wheel pasta 🧀 is one of the highlights of the buffet. The rich cheese coats the pasta perfectly, making it incredibly delicious!
The grill station offers roast beef 🍖 and lamb racks 🥩, along with Yorkshire pudding and side dishes, allowing you to create your own steak meal.
The classic Hainanese chicken rice 🐥 is a must-try, with everyone praising it highly 👍.
The noodle station features Singapore laksa 🍜 with a variety of toppings to choose from, and the fresh and bouncy fish balls are a must!
The hot dishes include a variety of Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisines, such as pineapple pork loin, herb-roasted spring chicken, grilled US beef tenderloin, white wine cream clams, miso-steamed sea bass with Japanese BBQ sauce, black pepper shrimp, XO sauce scallops with vermicelli, abalone soy sauce fried noodles, sausage and BBQ pork fried rice, xiao long bao, and Japanese curry salmon 🍛.
There are two soups available: lobster bisque and crab meat corn soup, with the latter being my favorite this time.
The new dessert section is exciting, like a mini version of the Mandarin Cake Shop. Legendary Mandarin cheesecake, soft and delicious Victoria sponge cake, tiramisu, blueberry chestnut trifle 🫐, chocolate cake, walnut tart, macarons, fruit salad, dried fruit chocolate slices 🍫, blueberry chocolate cupcakes 🧁, dried fruit chocolate pieces, truffle chocolates, and more. Dessert lovers will go crazy.
There's also a newly introduced ice cream cart 🍨, with a must-try English milk tea flavored ice cream, paired with crispy charcoal cones, waffles, and other toppings.
For an additional $588, you can enjoy unlimited 2015 Moët & Chandon champagne 🥂, red and white wine 🍷, beer, mineral water, soft drinks, and juices 🥤. For an additional $158, you can enjoy unlimited mineral water, soft drinks, and juices.
