Cijin Windmill Park is located on the north side of Zhongzhou Sewage Treatment Plant in Cijin District, Kaohsiung City. As soon as you enter the park, you will see seven huge three-blade wind turbines, which are unique and eye-catching. Whenever tourists pass by, the attention is easily drawn to the giant windmill. The Windmill Park, built in 2003, is the first green space in Taiwan with the image and concept of environmental protection. Hundreds of coastal trees are planted in the park, and there is a large lawn for picnics. In addition to the reason of being near the sea, the park is windy and suitable for kite flying. The energy generated by these windmills using wind power is enough to supply the park's evening lighting for about four and a half hours every day. In addition, there are collages of marine creatures in the park, with vivid and interesting shapes. There are also sea viewing stands and performance squares in front of the large windmills.
