Zhongtai Zen Temple is a Buddhist resort in Nantou. It was built by the architect Li Zuyuan. The main building of the temple is mainly made of stone, which symbolizes the firmness and eternity of practice. From the side, it looks like a practitioner sitting in meditation in the green mountains. On the other hand, it is like a jet ready to go, symbolizing the supreme mind method of Zen Buddhism "to realize one's own mind and become a Buddha straight away". The main building of the temple is not only attractive, but the crystal-carved glass in the temple’s patriarch Jialan Hall, the four heavenly kings and the pillar body, and the seven Buddhist pagodas of the Medicine Master in the Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall are all carefully carved, artistic and Zen-like works. . There is basically no place to light incense in Zhongtai Temple, and believers are not allowed to light incense and ask for worship in the temple. If you have the heart, you can put your hands together and pay homage to the sesame oil. If you are a friend who is used to ancient Chinese temples, it will definitely be an eye-opener for you to see the rare smoke-free Buddhist architecture.
