An Underrated Spot for Stream Trekking near Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai
🌊A hidden gem for summer water fun and camping in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. Come quickly!
The key to summer fun is definitely playing in the water! Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and dive into the mountain streams for camping and water play. Grab a big watermelon and gulp down refreshing drinks. This is the right way to enjoy a cool summer.🌊
Here, the murmuring streams and birdsong intertwine into a melody, and your body and mind are instantly embraced by the gentleness of nature, leaving you lost in its beauty.🍃 You can't help but sigh, life should be wasted in such a beautiful place!
Today, I must recommend a hidden gem in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai - Changxing, Huzhou. Even on weekends, there are few people, perfectly avoiding the crowds. The stream is clear and shallow, like flowing crystal, surrounded by lush, fairytale-like forests, with plenty of shade. You can have fun without worrying about getting sunburned. It's a summer paradise. Bring your favorite snacks and fruits, and you can have fun from morning till night!
Gather your friends and set off this weekend🏃♀️
📍Chuanbu Village, Changxing (Changxing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province)
🧭Navigate to "Changxing Chuanbu Barbecue Park". It's an easy 2-hour drive from Hangzhou and Shanghai! As you approach, you'll pass "Changqiao Jianqiao". After crossing the bridge, you'll find the parking lot. Park your car and stroll down the red trail, and a crystal-clear stream will come into view.
⚠️Don't crowd at the entrance. About 200 meters ahead, follow the steps down to a more open "secret base," a tranquil and secluded spot where you can enjoy the coolness.‼️See picture P9 for detailed directions‼️
🎫The best part is it's free!
📌Tips for your trip:
1️⃣Mosquitoes love to join the fun in the wild, so insect repellent is a must.
2️⃣The riverbed is covered with stones, so stream trekking shoes are essential for wading through the water.
3️⃣Water enthusiasts should bring a set of spare clothes or, like me, wear convenient stream trekking clothes.
4️⃣Follow the red trail to discover the "Longshan Greenway," where you can hike or bike. There's also exciting rafting nearby.
5️⃣Across from the parking lot, next to the large waterwheel, there's a Longevity Spring. Bring your own bucket to collect free natural mineral water and enjoy its sweetness.
6️⃣There are many farmhouse restaurants nearby, so you won't have trouble finding a place to eat. After several visits, I found "Shanli Renjia" to be very popular with locals. You can't go wrong eating there.
7️⃣There's also a beautiful photo spot (P4, P5) with a high success rate, but the water is a bit deep, so don't move the tables and chairs into the water. Navigate to "Shangang Temple," park in front of the farmhouse restaurant, and it's just a short walk away.
8️⃣While stream trekking and camping are fun, don't forget to be civilized. Take all your trash with you when you leave.
