📍Chongyuan Temple 📲I was amazed by the aerial photos I saw online and was convinced to visit. The vast lotus fields surrounding the serene Buddhist temple help to calm the mind and wash away the hustle of daily life. It's about an hour and a half drive from Pudong, with parking available at the entrance, though slightly expensive at 3 yuan per half hour. If you plan to have a vegetarian meal or coffee inside, parking fees can quickly add up to 33 yuan. The vegetarian food is highly recommended, with generous portions and decent taste. I especially recommend the Zen Coffee - order a drink, sit by the lotus pond with the air conditioning, and you can really smell the fragrance of the lotus leaves. The shop's floral tea, coffee, and milk tea are all quite good (the pastries are average), but the owner is particularly sincere, offering a free item if the mold for a dessert is broken. Luzhi Ancient Town 🤷🏻‍♂️I don't know why people online say you need to buy a ticket, you absolutely don't need one just to casually stroll through the streets! You only need to buy tickets to enter small attractions (like certain residences) inside, and these attractions close at 5 pm. The combined ticket is 45 yuan each. We, who didn't do much research, bought tickets at 4:30 pm and only had 5 minutes to see one residence, which wasn't particularly impressive - a complete waste. 📍Huayi Brothers Movie World 🗽The five themed areas offer a rich variety of attractions and performances. The most impressive is the towering statue of Empress Wu Zetian in the Empire of Sky area, which includes a 'Heaven' to recreate the grandeur of the divine capital, truly stunning. 🎫Ticket price: 228 yuan (about 205 yuan if purchased online) 📍Bicester Village Suzhou 🛍️I stumbled upon it and decided to go on a whim. It's about a half-hour drive from Suzhou, and you can even see the 'big pants' building on the way. The parking lot is large and free. The European-style architecture makes for incredibly beautiful photos. There are many luxury and niche brands, many of which offer discounts. Upon arrival, you can get a map and enjoy shopping and taking photos along a small circular route. The visit doesn't take too long, and there are also bubble tea shops and plenty of toilets, so no worries about finding one!
