Chongqing Zoo, formerly known as West District Park, is located at No. 1, Xijiao Village, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, covering an area of 43.5 hectares. It was built in 1953 and officially opened to the public on January 24, 1955. The park is lush with trees, built on the mountain, with undulating terrain, winding ravines, lakes, streams, and winding paths. The natural scenery is fresh and beautiful, and the beautiful scenery is fascinating. The park exhibits more than 230 species and more than 4,000 wild animals, of which more than 80% are rare and protected animals, including giant pandas, South China tigers, Asian elephants, rhinos, golden monkeys, giraffes, red-crowned cranes, and black swans, which are loved by people.
