dragon hot pot
#celebratewithtrip
dragon hot pot is the best Chinese restaurant I dined in in Melbourne. it works in such a way where you choose the ingredients you want based on the large variety that is available then you proceed to the cashier to order the soup base and they will prepare it for you. I tried the Tom yum soup and it’s good for me because it wasn’t spicy at all and very refreshing on a cold day. ingredients were plenty like scallops seafood mussels or vegetables and there’s different types of vegetables as well as fish ball meat ball etc and other types of meat like pork beef and all. very nice restaurant and would recommend trying.

hutong dumpling bar
#celebratewithtrip
visited Hutong dumpling bar which is located at chinatown Melbourne. the restaurant has a very nice exterior and there is about 2-3 floors here. usually nobody dines on the first floor so you’ll have to climb up for more seats.
ordered some Chinese food such as the red chilli oil wanton which was not too bad. as well as the xiaolongbao but skin was a bit thick. the noodles were also average. overall food was average but the ambience was nice and the interior and exterior of the restaurant felt really chinesey and grand. price was also somewhat reasonable for Chinese food in Melbourne.

dinner @ Shanghai street
#celebratewithtrip
ordered dinner at Shanghai street on our first night in Melbourne as we were already missing Chinese and Asian food. and of course visiting chinatown is a must. since we were in the vicinity we decided to have some Chinese food. saw this shop was quite crowded and there were long queues so we decided to dine here. the xiaolongbao was so so as skin was a bit thick and could not really taste the soup. for the chilli oil wanton it felt more like wanton dumplings as sauce wasn’t good enough. the noodles however were fantastic and I love the wok hey that comes with it. overall restaurant was quite alright.

Shanghai Street - Melbourne (Chinatown)
Address - 146/148 Little Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
Ambiance/Facilities - Family restaurant serving Chinese foods
Highlights - Delicious Chinese food with affordable price in the heart of Melbourne
Additional Comments - Visited the Chinatown branch multiple times on multiple occasions, they always serves you good food with consistent quality throughout the whole year. The best dish that they serve has to be the Pan Fried Beef and Cheese Dumplings along with their Xiao Long Bao (all variants). For the Beef and Cheese Dumplings, some branches might not have it but the Chinatown branch definitely have it because every time I visit I would always order that. Be sure to ask the waiter for the Fried version of the Beef and Cheese Dumpling because they also have the boiled version. Some of the more authentic Chinese food in town that fits the taste of my whole friends and family. They have several branches throughout the Melbourne CBD, so definitely give it a try if you’re looking for an affordable Chinese food restaurant
Avg. Price per Person - AU$ 20 - 40 (depending on the food ordered)
Rating - 4.5/5

## is Little Bourke Street, especially the bustling area of this street from the east end to the middle.
Chinatown is not a residential area, but a place where Chinese restaurants and shops gather in the heart of Melbourne.
Melbourne Chinatown is about 900 meters long and 6 meters wide, spanning five vertical streets. There are many Chinese restaurants here. We can see bookstores, boutiques, duty-free shops, craft shops and so on, which are Chinese-style, full of oriental flavor.
The history of Melbourne Chinatown began in 1854 and was originally Australia's earliest Chinatown and one of the earliest Chinatowns in the world. However, it seems to be quite popular.
There are a lot of travel agencies here, you can report a group to participate in the day trip to the Great Ocean Road project, but also buy some special products such as .
