Herren Insel (Men‘s Island) is located on Chiemsee and is accessible from Prien with a small ship. It was a nice experience going to the island and enjoying the serenity of the place. We visited Frauen Insel during our holiday at Chiemsee. We took the boat from Prien and it was about 10 minutes ride. The island is such a beauty! It felt like I was in the movie location. Very lovely place! On the cover picture is my favourite place on that island. It was really peaceful sitting there on the bench while looking at the water and the mountain. It was a nice place and I am glad that I visited it. During his trip to France in 1867, King Ludwig II of Bavaria originally planned to visit the Palace of Versailles, which he had long admired.
