The original castle has been around since the Goryeo Dynasty, and it is said that the Cheongdo-gun governor rebuilt it with a stone wall during the reign of King Seonjo of Joseon. The castle has a circumference of 1.88 km and a height of 1.7 m. There is a stone ice storage nearby, which was built in 1713 and designated as a national treasure in 1963. It is said to be the best stone ice storage in South Korea. The Hyanggyo was designated as a Gyeongbuk tangible cultural heritage in 1985 and is also called Hwayang Hyanggyo. Built in 1568. Every March, the Cheongdo-eupseong Balgi event is held, where women climb up the fortress walls and walk along the ridge of the mountain fortress in a line. The view from Cheongdo Eupseong is amazing~♡ It's a 5-minute drive from Namsan Valley that I introduced before, and the cafe right next to it is really great~~♡ I don't remember the name of the cafe.....but it's a hanok cafe right next to the Eupseong parking lot~♡ It's not a bad memory to walk around the Eupseong while enjoying a cup of iced Americano~♡ There's a parking lot, so parking isn't too inconvenient~ Location: 48-1 Dongsang-ri, Hwayang-eup, Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongbuk
