Best Time to See Giant Pandas: The best time to visit the Chengdu Panda Base is in the morning, when the pandas are most active. How to Get to Chengdu Panda Base: We used DiDi (similar to Grab/Uber) and the ride cost us around CNY25-CNY35 (appx SGD5-7) from Taikoo Li, taking just 20 minutes. You can also take a bus, but a DiDi is faster and more convenient. 4. Best Gate to Enter: Most guides suggest entering through the West Gate, but I found the South Gate more convenient. Chengdu Giant Panda Base: Wanted to see the pandas, two hours was too rushed, just followed the crowd to see other pandas, caught a little one sleeping on the job Jiuzhaigou: Took the 10:30 am high-speed train to Zhenjiang Pass, booked a direct bus on Ctrip, arrived at Jiuzhaigou around 4 pm, took a taxi to the hotel (be sure to ask the price in advance, starting price of 15 for 1 kilometer), the hotel is located at the mouth of the valley, within walking distance, there's a McDonald's, Book also, the popular Tomato Yak Pot restaurant is nearby within walking distance, many people recommended it, no queue if you arrive early, but it's not particularly delicious (compared to the restaurant on the second day it's considered good) The next morning, went straight into the scenic area, there are buses inside, followed the route to visit, there are stops to take the bus, walked about 13 kilometers in total, must wear comfortable shoes!! The scenic area has everything it should have (here I want to complain about the Kudi, one cup sold for 35, I have never seen such expensive Kudi, I understand it's expensive in the scenic area~ but this is a bit too much, the neighboring Xuewang is only 1 yuan more expensive hahaha, long live Xuewang! Luckin Coffee is under renovation inside the scenic area, waiting for it to open and outcompete Kudi) For dinner, Himalayan Music Tibetan Restaurant, really avoid this place! Ordered stir-fried wild vegetables, got a pot of stir-fried lettuce leaves... counts as wild vegetables??? On the third day, the return trip was still a direct bus from Ctrip, high-speed train from Zhenjiang Pass to Chengdu East, direct high-speed train from Chengdu East to Tianfu Airport, Chengdu East Station has transfer instructions, follow them for 5 minutes to the next train's ticket gate, Tianfu Airport exit is a 5-minute walk, directly to self-service check-in and baggage drop, go upstairs for security check, very fast! The whole process can be done in 20 minutes!

Today was a day healed by pandas! They are just too cute! Before coming to the base, I read a lot of travel guides, fearing that I wouldn't understand how to navigate the place, but thankfully the preparation paid off! There was almost no queuing throughout the whole journey, and I saw over 20 giant pandas! I was also lucky enough to see Grandpa Tan, Hua Hua, and Ye from a distance without queuing—no more talking, let's get straight to the good stuff! Route: I did a lot of research on travel guides, and in the end, I chose to enter from the west gate because we didn't plan to rush to see Hua Hua; those who do should enter from the south gate. We arrived at the west gate at 7:00, and the park opens at 7:30. After entering the west gate, we didn't stay in the west area but took the sightseeing bus directly to Villa No. 1. We were the first ones there, and the experience was fantastic. Upon entering, we saw Hot Dry Noodles and Egg Sponge Cake, which were incredibly cute! They were eating bamboo~ (I suggest everyone arrive early, as the pandas are more lively in the morning and are eating. If you come late, they'll be sleeping.) ▶️ Next, we walked to the Moon Nursery, which is really great. You can see a lot of panda cubs, and it's closer than the Sun Nursery. As soon as we entered, we saw a panda mom disciplining her cub, which was hilarious, and we also saw tiny cubs, super cute~ ▶️ Then we went to the Sun Nursery, which is so far away and super crowded, so the experience wasn't as good. You are not in Chengdu if your not seeing the cute pandas ! It’s not only pandas but it’s the national animal in China . So cute and precious how can you ignore this event ? Please do go and support these lovely animals. Although the weather was super hot and the pandas were indoor - I’m so thankful that they were all indoors because it was super hot and going inside with air con felt amazing. Be sure to walk alot and up alot or hills . Wear comfy shoes . And wear alot of sunblock if your there in the summer time. I head told the best season is fall. Please go say hi to the pandas !

In Chengdu?, you MUST see the pandas 🐼 Very glad we visited the Panda Research Base in Chengdu, even though it was a hot day we still got a chance to see the pandas in their inside enclosures. 📍​20 minutes drive north from city center by taxi 45RMB. Hotels also help you arrange tours. 🎟​The entrance fee is 55RMB, you MUST book at least 24 hours in advance (see code in pictures), specially for the morning session. ⌚️​Do arrive before 10am taking into consideration lining up to enter which can take half an hour➕. we got it at 9:50 and literally 10 minutes later the pandas were fast asleep. ​The base is big,🚶 easily a 2 hour walk if you see the nursery👶 and visit all the information points, therr is also a little car that can take you to the different POI no extra fee. The base is great for children, lots of information and although we didn't take part in he volunteer program the facilities for it looked amazing. 📸 There are plenty of photo opportunities in and around the park with,.don't miss them, Panda ice creams and even the names of the roafs around the base are worth a picture. Definitely worth it.🐼 they are as cute as you imagine and the conservation story and efforts are impressive. Come meet the beautiful pandas in Chengdu. It was a great day visit and learning about the pandas. The weather was great, the customer service was good and the environment was clean and welcoming. If you decide to go , wear comfortable shoes and clothing. The Bamboo Restaurant food was great. So many people were in the queues to see the pandas it’s a must visit place in Chengdu once you visit.

I loved visiting the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding! It’s fairly straightforward to take a taxi to the base and will cost roughly 50-100RMB. The park is an extremely open area with small crowds in the giant panda area. Saw many wonderful panda’s and they were adorable! The food was a bit overpriced (to be expected) but there was a large amount of options which was great. Something for everyone to enjoy. Tour Bus Service: Given that the park is an impressive 165 acres they have tour buses around the park. There is a fee of 10RMB per person, which is extremely reasonable given the size of the park. Areas to improve: Little to no one to assist and answer questions in the park. Since I walked around the park, it wasn’t very clear how to get to the baby panda area. Once I did get there was a massive crowd of people with minimal crowd control. Therefore, if you get nervous or dislike crowds it might be best to go during a weekday and definitely not during a holiday. Overall an amazing time! I bought a few very cute souvenirs at the gift shop which serve as an amazing memory of a great day! I look forward to visiting again! Panda day was amazing 🐼😁 It was easy to book a taxi from the hotel to the south gate, its closer to the panda section. It was good to get there early to avoid the crowds, it was worth it to see the panda eating breakfast (8:30 to 10am). Plus, buy the half day ticket there. Walking around was easy, just follow the signs and you can see the pandas better. After get the tour bus to take you through the park to the other side of the park and see the other views.
