There was no queue when I bought tickets for Darcy Manor on site, and I could get a £5 discount by showing my bus ticket. After coming out of Darcy Manor, you can see the open pasture. After crossing the river and climbing a hillside, you can see Edensor. The scenery is really good. I came out at four o'clock in the afternoon. There were very few people outside at that time, so I walked alone on the grass with the mountain breeze. I felt very calm inside and could think about anything or nothing. Occasionally, two lambs would run by playfully, and I would watch a bus passing by in the distance. I would enjoy the tranquility of solitude and feel that I own the entire land. The last bus from Darcy Manor to Dore & Totley is around 7pm, so pay attention to the time. It is recommended to take the 218 bus at five o'clock to visit the small town of Bakewell on the way. For dinner, we sat by the river in Bakewell and ate fish and chips. After a short rest, we took the last bus back to Sheffield and then took the train back to Manchester City.

#thingstodo Visited the Christmas Experience on 30th December. At £34 for an adult ticket, it wasn't cheap but in our view excellent value for money! We had an amazing afternoon. The house was beautifully decorated in an advent theme and the illuminated gardens and light projection onto the side of the house were spectacular. Everything was excellently managed by courteous and efficient staff and there was no waiting for anything even though it was fully booked on that day. All in all a truly magical experience. Highly recommended as a Christmas event for all the family to enjoy. We will definitely return next year! Chatsworth House is a beautiful, picturesque and grand stately home that is worthy of a day out with family. We went to visit the Christmas decorations at the house and illuminated trail around the garden. It is highly recommend to do both in the winter months. There is also a farm on the estate, which children will enjoy. Also, there is a cafe that serves a good selection of food.
