The Garden Which Amazes Imagination
The natural garden of Villandry Castle, created back in the 16th century, is very important from the point of view of garden art. Dr. Joachim Carvallo is the last owner of the gardens who recreated the abandoned area in an exact image. The picturesque gardens are located on the slope in small terraces. This construction of the park is typical for the Renaissance. The entire garden can be viewed from the balconies or the tower of Villandry Castle. There are three levels of gardens in total, which are arranged in six groups: vegetable garden, love garden, herb garden, music garden, mosaic garden and water garden.
All gardens are unique in their aesthetic design and colors. On the territory of each garden there are signs with information about a group of plants.
The flower beds and flower beds of the vegetable garden are presented in the form of carrots, cabbage, pumpkins and other vegetables. The original composition is complemented by fountains designed for irrigation.
Boxwood trees in unusual images of love decorate the middle level of the park, where the love garden is located. The bushes depict a variety of love — passionate, fickle, tender, tragic and fatal.
Perhaps the most fragrant garden can be called the herb garden. It is here that various seasonings and spices are grown. Among the spices, you can find different types of medicinal herbs. There are about 30 species in total.
Bushes trimmed in the form of harps and lyres, and fountains around artistic statues symbolize art, and together they unite into a musical garden.
The most mysterious garden is the mosaic garden. A maze of densely intertwined shrubs depicts patterns typical of the Renaissance.
Finally, the water garden is a pond with lawns and bushes.
Overall, this is magnificent place with charming landscapes and impressive gardens as must see attraction!

The Château de Villandry is a grand country house located in Villandry, in the département of Indre-et-Loire, France. It is especially known for its beautiful gardens. The Château de Villandry is open to the public and is one of the most visited châteaux in France. The gardens are laid out in formal patterns created with low box hedges. Villandry Castle was the last large castle built on the banks of the Loire during the Renaissance, but the most famous of these is the three-storey garden, which combines beauty, change and harmony.
The castle looks not very beautiful, but it is a typical French style, a bit like the Fontainebleau Palace. There is nothing special inside the castle. We, like most people, decisively only buy tickets for the garden.
It is worth mentioning that there is a Michelin two-star restaurant at the entrance of the castle. I want to try it with the agricultural products produced in the castle garden.

The Villandry Castle Garden is another castle in the French River Valley that I chose. It is the only surviving evidence of the Renaissance-style garden. It consists of a large garden with three levels of different heights. The landscape is famous for its large garden.
Medieval herbal gardens between vegetable gardens and churches, specializing in a variety of herbs, herbs and herbs. A total of 115,000 flowers and vegetables are planted in the garden each year, 50% of which are cultivated by the castle. There are nine squares of the same size but different internal geometric patterns that form a vegetable garden with blue onions, red cabbage and beets, and green jade carrots.
The vegetable garden is planted for two seasons each year. The cultivation is divided into 40 families of vegetables in eight families, and the layout is updated every time. Every winter, only 1015 eucalyptus trees in the entire park will require four gardeners to work for three months.
The most beautiful one belongs to the four large red square gardens - Villandry "love garden", the pattern is symmetrical, the color is unified. In the lower right corner are "hot love", "gentle love", "floating love" and "sad love".
