It's not very photogenic, but for lunch we went to a nice restaurant that's famous and featured in guidebooks. Apparently Beckham has been there too. Eggplant and sour soup. (It's Cambodian🇰🇭 food but I don't know the name lol) It was filling and delicious💯 The first floor is a massage💆♀️ salon and the restaurant is on the second floor, so it's a bit confusing, but if you ask the staff they'll guide you! We didn't make a reservation here, but it seems to be famous in guidebooks and tours, so it might be better to make a reservation during tourist season!

Day 6: Siem Reap Chanrey Tree Restaurant - Sokka Spa - DFS Chanrey Tree Restaurant became popular after Beckham visited. The restaurant is located by the Siem Reap River, in a single villa surrounded by greenery. There is a small courtyard at the entrance, and the first floor is nothing special. We sat on the outdoor terrace on the second floor, which is full of Southeast Asian style and decorated with lotus flowers. There is a Chinese menu, which makes ordering easy. We ordered Amok fish, Lok Lak beef, and coconut sorbet with fried taro, all of which were delicious. Amok fish is fish curry, a local specialty with sweet yellow curry and tender fish. Lok Lak beef is Cambodian-style stir-fried beef with roasted cherry tomatoes. The beef tenderloin is cut into thin slices and stir-fried with sauce, making it tender and flavorful. Coconut sorbet with fried taro is fried rice cakes with filling. It is delicious, with hot filling poured over the rice cakes, making it fragrant. Sokka Spa is next to Chanrey Tree. We received a 15% discount card while dining because the two places have the same owner. The spa is in a single villa with many plants and lotus flowers made into various decorations, trickling water, and a delicate courtyard. You fill out a form to choose the service content at the entrance. This time, I chose traditional Cambodian massage, which involves wearing a bathrobe and the masseuse using her body to move mine. My companion and I chose a double room. Hot stones are placed on the bed during the massage. Overall, it was a good experience. DFS Angkor Plaza Store: The hotel is a 5-6 minute walk from DFS, and the history museum is next to DFS. Angkor DFS has three floors, is not very big, and does not have many categories. The first floor is for big brands, with independent storefronts, mostly bags and shoes. The second floor is for cosmetics and clothing. The third floor is for local specialties. The service is good, and you can call a free tuk-tuk to the hotel at the front desk after any purchase.
