It has been a dream for many years to visit Changbai mountain and I finally made it 🩷 We were so lucky with the weather ☀️ in the mountains that I almost can not believe it. We had set aside a few days just in case the view of the heavenly lake was not clear but we got the best views. After spending time on the top of the mountain for the hotspot of the trip we followed the bus to a valley and a forest that was part of the ticket. Amazing day with amazing nature I must say. Since we had some extra time in the area we also went drifting down the river on a float. Super relaxing and fun activity. As beautiful as Jiuzhaigou, it is difficult to visit, you have to wait for the sky to clear. There are many tourist attractions in the park. Parking should be arranged for traveling to different points in the park, it is a bit confusing. There is parking to get off and walk through the building to get on the car at the next place. Finally, I climbed to the top of the mountain and saw the majestic Tianchi. I was lucky today. It snowed yesterday, and there was a risk that Tianchi would not open, but I successfully reached the top. Thanks to the snow, Changbai Mountain is more magnificent than usual. But there are still a lot of people, three layers inside and three layers outside. I can't squeeze to the railing to take pictures, I can only go forward. There was a radio on the bus going up the mountain that kept introducing Changbai Mountain. In some of the tour groups we met in the scenic area, the tour guides simply said to gather after a certain time without any explanation. Bring a disposable raincoat and non-slip shoe covers, as the weather in the mountains can change quickly. We went there in mid-August, and brought a sports jacket and a jacket for the kids, which was enough for the Tianchi Lake (in fact, if it doesn't rain, it's enough to wear a sunscreen jacket on the Tianchi Lake, but the weather changes so quickly, and if it rains, it won't be able to hold on, so it's better to bring thicker clothes 🧥) You can buy a cup of ginseng milk with "Changbai Mountain" printed on it at Changbai Waterfall or the transfer station. Don't throw away the cup after drinking it. Take it to Tianchi to take pictures. It's very unique. Other scenic spots on the north slope are also very good, Changbai Waterfall and Luyuantan are both very beautiful.
