Tea Horse Ancient Road - A Detailed Tour Guide~ Definitely worth a visit!
⚠️ It's a good idea to learn about the stories of the caravan and the Tea Horse Ancient Road first, which will enhance your experience during the visit~
💰 There is no entrance fee for the Tea Horse Ancient Road scenic area! There is a joint ticket that includes an electric cart, the water show, the Rainbow Cable Car, and museum admission. We chose the joint ticket because we were with children.
👀 Water show performance times: 11:00-11:30 15:00-15:30
🚡 Joint ticket tour route:
Take the tour car from position ① to position ② Dianbo Lake to watch the water show. After the show, cross the floating bridge to reach position ③ where you can feed animals like alpacas and deer. Then take the Rainbow Cable Car from position ④ to the top of the mountain. The cable car ride lasts 13 minutes and 14 seconds, a very romantic setting! After getting off the cable car, you will find position ⑤ the Caravan Museum and Tang Tea Hall. Behind the back door of the Tang Tea Hall is the Sworn Brotherhood Forest, and the Tea Horse Ancient Road is right there! Next to the Tea Horse Ancient Road, there is a newly built stone stairway that runs parallel to the ancient road. We chose to walk down the ancient road. If you walk up the mountain, you will leave the scenic area and can reach Na Ke Li, a total of 17 kilometers! The ancient road downhill is not long, and you will reach the Looking Back Pavilion, which is the last place where the caravan could see their hometown before setting off. After that, they would have their last hometown meal and drink the last bowl of hometown tea before crossing the mountain. Next is the suspension bridge and the Earth God Temple, followed by the forest plank road, which is all stairs. After descending the stairs, take the electric cart from position ⑦ to position ⑧ Tea Horse Mutual Market, where you will find the Tribute Tea Institute and Ma Guotou's former residence. From there, walk down the stone steps, where there is a forest slide. We didn't take it and continued to walk down the mountain. Finally, take the electric cart from position ⑨ to the scenic area service station, where you can catch a ride!
🚶🏻♀️ Non-ticket hiking route: The hiking route is to walk from position ① to position ⑨ first, and then follow the black Tea Horse Ancient Road hiking trail all the way up the mountain. This section of the Tea Horse Ancient Road is 4 kilometers long. Those with good physical strength can try it out and retrace the caravan's route to the Sworn Brotherhood Forest. From there, if you continue upwards, you will leave the scenic area and can reach Na Ke Li.

A newly established homestay built by the stream
I have to say, I really love this little courtyard! It meets all my expectations for a summer courtyard, playing with water, escaping the heat, barbecuing skewers, and watching the night view and admiring the stars in the courtyard at night.
Courtyard Environment
Located by the babbling stream, hidden among the tall evergreen oak trees, overlooking the stream and waterfall, it forms a world of its own. This place was once the intersection of the Southern Silk Road and the Ancient Tea Horse Road, with the White Crane Temple, Gao Yan Beach, ancient riverbanks, tall trees, and the strands of sunlight scattered on the riverbanks. Windows are the soul of a building, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows in the public area allow the scenery and cool breeze of the stream to permeate the space; the infinity terrace is connected to the tea field, and there is a large lawn in the courtyard. Accompanied by the evening breeze, it is most comfortable to have a drink with friends and family while skewering.
Courtyard Space
The courtyard has a total of 6 rooms, covering an area of about 534m, the style continues to be simple and rustic, creating a natural and leisurely space with the combination of original wood and light colors, each room is equipped with air conditioning, floor heating, smart toilets and other basic facilities; in addition, there is a projector, coffee shop, outdoor lawn in the courtyard. There is also a wild waterfall next to the homestay. You can walk along the riverside path, play in the stream and catch crabs, hike, tea garden, fruit garden picking... Walking the baby has also become easy! 2/6 rooms are courtyard, all are large bed room types
