Located in the secluded residential area (LORONGBURMA) of Penang Island, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha is a religious tourist attraction that Malaysian Buddhists must come to worship. The temple enshrines the world's third largest indoor reclining Buddha. The total length of the reclining Buddha is 33 meters. Lying peacefully in the main hall of the temple, the reclining Buddha is wearing a golden cassock, lying on the right side, feet to the right, and his face kindly looks at the tourists who enter the hall. Other Buddha statues and eighteen Arhat statues are also enshrined around the reclining Buddha, and some statues of Thai monks are covered with gold foil. A columbarium is a place that is considered clean. This Buddhist temple was built in 1845 and is an old Buddhist temple over a hundred years old. The architectural design of the Buddhist temple imitates the architectural style of the Thai Buddhist temple, and there are two guardian dragons enshrined at the entrance of the Buddhist temple. The first host of this Buddhist temple is an eminent monk from Thailand, the Buddha number PHORTHANKUAT. It is said that the eminent monk arrived in Penang Island. I like a local delicacy "Lasha noodles" very much. After this eminent monk ascended to heaven, many believers still worship the "Lasha noodles" that the eminent monk likes in front of the statue of the eminent monk.
