Invite to visit Pathumtharam Temple (Nong Bua Temple), Chai Nat Province
Wat Pathum Tharam (Wat Nong Bua) is located at 166 Moo 2, Nong Bua Subdistrict. It was built in 1822. It was originally called "Wat Nong Bua" because this village had a swamp and many lotuses. The temple was built by Somdet Chao Thuen, Somdet Phor, and Khrua Yai Khai.
Interesting things in the temple include the chapel where the Buddha image is enshrined, the image of Luang Pu Suk, Prince of Chumphon Khet Udomsak, and Luang Pho Jad, the former abbot. In front of the chapel is a large golden Buddha image in the blessing posture. Phra Maha That Chedi Si Chainat is the largest chedi in Chainat Province. It was built to honor His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of his 50th anniversary of ascension to the throne, to enshrine the relics of the Buddha and the relics of the Arahant disciples in the puppet on the top of the chedi.
