Hong Kong, a city that's great for just walking! It's a small city, so transportation is good, and you can just walk along the Mid Escalator. It's pretty everywhere and has a unique Hong Kong feel.. Just wear pretty clothes and take pictures anywhere on the street. As a solo traveller, I really enjoyed visiting central mid levels escalator. I unfortunately travelled to the top first, and was disappointed when I heard there was supposed to be restaurants. Please make sure you visit CENTRAL mid levels, as this is where most of the nightlife seems to be. There is a giant escalator, running all the way to the top of the street, seems to be miles long! There are wonderful bars and restaurants, all along the side, where you can get off the elevator and go and explore. It seems to be an absolutely vibing place of an evening, with lots of people travelling up and down the escalators all night long. I visited a wonderful bar called the peak bar on one side of the escalator. The chicken rice entree lived up to its hype. Will definitely be back to try the remaining items. The service was also friendly and fast. Maybe there is a storage issue, the restaurant itself is being used to store boxes and random items, hand towels covering bowls or something. Quite an eyesore. But it won't ruin the dining experience. The food was beautifully presented and cooked, and the taste was not typical western food. My favourites were the pudding Basque, the beef tartare, the chicken rice, and the grouper paella was beautifully cooked - tasty and crispy paella...
